Despite President Donald Trump’s claim of a tremendous victory in this month’s midterm elections, Democrats pulled off the biggest midterm victory in the country’s history by claiming 8.8 million more votes than Republicans in House races, according to popular vote results from the Cook Political Report.

Democrats earned over 59.2 million votes in House contests and Republicans 50.3 million votes as the former flipped 38 House seats around the country, Cook Political Report editor Dave Wasserman said. The difference proved to be the biggest popular vote difference for either party in the country’s history.

Republicans earned 45.2 percent of the overall vote in House races and Democrats 53.1 percent.

Democrats got 3 million more votes in the 2016 election and have now tripled that number just two years later.

Only by extreme, hyper-partisan gerrymandering were Repugnicans able to limit their losses in the House to 40 seats.

The bottom line is that the will and intent of the voter has been expressed - and the American voter has overwhelming rejected Trumpism and insists that congress put the brakes on the Trumpist agenda.
 
Republicans were vastly outspent by outside money, jumped ship beforehand (retiring) and refused to use the economy as their message.
They are incredibly electorialy illiterate. scared of their own shadows and basically worthless as a national party

However the Senate looks good. Trump for sure pulled out the Florida Governor and Senator race - more I don't feel like listing -and I am eternally grateful Florida will remain a good business climate state with lots of jobs and low taxes
