Democrats in trouble?

And when did that happen?

Certainly not with claiming that Trump just did a calm "recitation." I'm genuinely embarrassed for you.

W/e.

I noticed how quick you were to use Trump to deflect from my point about democrats screwing the pooch with Ford.

1/3rd of the Senate is up for election every 2 years. This year 26 of the seats up are held by Dems. That is why it is difficult for the dems to take the Senate this year. It does not signal the repubs are strong, but that the random seats were against the Dems this time.

I don't think there is any more clear statement or indication of how detached you guys are from reality under the Trump spell than the line above.

It's just staggering to me. How is it possible to characterize his words at the rally this way? The crowd was cracking up - he wasn't doing a straight "recitation."

So embarrassing. I can't wait until you all break out of this & rejoin the land of thinking people.

You think you guys are attached to reality? How so? You're still losing, you're still whining and you're still bitching while pretending you haven't lost.

What point? You're always going to see things from the hyper-partisan right-wing perspective.

Watch what happens if he gets confirmed. We'll know soon enough who has the right call on this one.

Ironic coming from a lying loon always seeing things from the hyper partisan left wing perspective. Buy a mirror snowflake.

We will be; and I have saved all the loony claims and predictions your side has erupted with. Including yours. ;)

A couple days ago I read an great article in the thriving NYT. The article described how the writer saw the political landscape shifting under the Kavanaugh hearings such that helped the Republicans in the Senate and the Democrats in the House. It appears that today the newest batch of polling data is bearing that our. Specific and crucial Senate votes... Missouri, Nevada and Texas specifically. The Republicans were more laid back about this election and they are now angry.

So, their is still a month to go.

We have two broad scenarios ahead of us. Kavanaugh is confirmed or he is not. It seems to me the Republican anger is likely to subside if Kavanaugh is confirmed and the Democratic anger will be stoked that one who many believe to be a serial abuser of woman will be on the Court. For political reasons I suspect the Democrats hope he is not confirmed, yet still the candidates in the Conservative States will be forced to take a side.

My net perspective is that at this point Kavanaugh is helping the Republicans.

I feel fairly certain the Republicans will gain one or two seats in the Senate and lose about 20 in the House. That is as it stands today, but the ground is shifting and who knows where we will stand in November.
Oh yes....Democrats way over played their hand.

It's mostly men who have been angered and understandably so. The appearance that a persons career and reputation can be completely ruined by just the mere allegation of sexual misconduct, with out corroborating evidence is extremely, very frightening.

So the three ring circus is impacting the upcoming Midterms as it appears the attacks by Democrats on Kavanaugh have turned into a circular firing squad.

Now having said that I have no sympathy for Kavanaugh. He played that card when he was part of Ken Starr's brain trust during the Whitewater investigation, an egregious abuse of power if ever there was one, now that he's getting the same treatment he gave to others he's crying "Foul". Well that just falls on deaf ears with me. He should have thought about that when he was needlessly destroying the careers and reputations of innocent people as a member of a runaway partisan hit mob to take down a siting President.

I'm curious, Bullshit Blob.

In your wildest imagination, can you imagine telling me to STFU from anywhere but your anonymous keyboard?
If you can, you're far too delusional for me to bother reading anything that you write.

Why you and every other sane, thinking poster on this board don't have that mindless, immature, juvenile asswipe on ignore already is beyond me.

He never says anything worth reading and putting him on ignore only takes about a minute.

Rationality. Every rare time I see it on this board it stuns me.

All this talk of "backlash." Base GOP voters are always angry. They're turning out regardless.

If Kav gets confirmed, what do they complain about? The investigation? That's not lasting anger, imo. I don't see a big difference there.

if there is one thing you don't understand about the right, is how much we love our judges. it absolutely will be lasting rage. whether or not it makes a huge difference is another topic.

Is there no "backlash" for Trump & the right once again mocking women and marginalizing the way many are treated?

I'm interested to see what happens. Democrats have far better candidates across the board this year, and people are underestimating voter registration efforts and the raw emotion on the left. I think Democrats take the House, and minimize GOP gains in the Senate.

I think if there is a backlash it will be due to the moronic deceptive behavior of the Dems on the committee. Seeing what lengths the Dems will go to with little control in Congress, who wants to see what happens if they take control of the House or Senate.

The logistics of the Senate are literally impossible for Democrats. If they can hold the GOP to a 2-seat gain, it's an epic win.

not impossible. dems have a 1 in 4 shot (down last week from 1 in 3) to take the senate outright.

25% is not impossible. 25% is a very common occurrence. football teams that are only 25% to win; win every week. Bills were a 6:1 dog vs. the vikings a couple of weeks back and they fucking smoked them. you need to start understanding that 25% is not nothing. same lesson I tried to teach you 2 years ago.

I think the MSM is just noticing TBH. I pointed out a few days ago that the RCP generic house poll has been showing a sharper decline in dem support than GOP support for over ten days. People are just tired of it all, but see the dnc as the driver of that which they are sick of hearing.

LMAO... way to set the bar high. No, it is not an 'epic win' if they hold the GOP to a 2 seat gain. Most of the seats have no chance of flipping. Epic win... lmao.

Repub base is much more solid in midterms then Dems. Dems had the enthusiasm -
Repubs were divided among Trump/NeverTrumps

Now the RW is just as jazzed up. see if the millenials turn out.
see if suburban women are as turned off as men to the mudslinging smears on judge K.

Yes it HAS effected the midterms!

Yeah, it really does stand in stark contrast to the honest & honorable governance of the GOP & Trump. So right you are.
