Democrats in trouble?

A couple days ago I read an great article in the thriving NYT. The article described how the writer saw the political landscape shifting under the Kavanaugh hearings such that helped the Republicans in the Senate and the Democrats in the House. It appears that today the newest batch of polling data is bearing that our. Specific and crucial Senate votes... Missouri, Nevada and Texas specifically. The Republicans were more laid back about this election and they are now angry.

So, their is still a month to go.

We have two broad scenarios ahead of us. Kavanaugh is confirmed or he is not. It seems to me the Republican anger is likely to subside if Kavanaugh is confirmed and the Democratic anger will be stoked that one who many believe to be a serial abuser of woman will be on the Court. For political reasons I suspect the Democrats hope he is not confirmed, yet still the candidates in the Conservative States will be forced to take a side.

My net perspective is that at this point Kavanaugh is helping the Republicans.

I feel fairly certain the Republicans will gain one or two seats in the Senate and lose about 20 in the House. That is as it stands today, but the ground is shifting and who knows where we will stand in November.

All this talk of "backlash." Base GOP voters are always angry. They're turning out regardless.

If Kav gets confirmed, what do they complain about? The investigation? That's not lasting anger, imo. I don't see a big difference there.

Is there no "backlash" for Trump & the right once again mocking women and marginalizing the way many are treated?

I'm interested to see what happens. Democrats have far better candidates across the board this year, and people are underestimating voter registration efforts and the raw emotion on the left. I think Democrats take the House, and minimize GOP gains in the Senate.
 
It's a serious problem if true.

We need the Senate to stop Trump's appointmernts.

Look at the damage the orangutan's done in less than two years and project that for a full term.
America could become completely irrelevant on the world scene before 2020.
That's what the Trumpanzees want.
Wait until the clueless slugs have to live with it.

I've said it before, Democrats deserve to be out of power even while they constitute the majority of voters........neglect to vote, take what you get

The logistics of the Senate are literally impossible for Democrats. If they can hold the GOP to a 2-seat gain, it's an epic win.

It will probably happen, but it's not an epic win.

50-50 plus Pence = one party RWNJ rule, and we're projecting worse.
And that means that the republic is that much closer to termination.
The new Democratic House will prevent moronic laws but can't stop catastrophic appointments.

America was never in danger of going down by foreign aggression.
It's going down from within.

The article did mention that... the Logistics are hugely in the Republicans favor in the Senate.

The only good thing about winning the House is limiting legislation to kill Obamacare AND investigation subpoena power, we would finally see TRump's tax returns.

News Flash for you Low/No Information folks.

The Democrats have been in trouble since 2010.

The Democrat Party has lost over 1200 seats nationwide since 2010.

They hold less seats in Congress today than since the 1920's.

HRC captured only 20 of the 50 states, most of them being large metropolitan areas on the coast.

The Democrats hold only 14 of the 50 Governor seats in the Country.

The Democrat Party can really no longer even be considered an National Party.

Maybe a Coastal Party at best.

It's shocking how you guys can't see what has happened to your party.
