Yep; they cannot sweep this one under the carpet. Give them enough time, and they will confiscate all privately owned weapons. That is the goal and only liars and willful idiots can claim otherwise.

Do you think LE is intentionally allowing these shootings? We know they want more gun control, so perhaps not acting on what they know might be a mass shooting, will inspire more gun regulation.

Oberweis supported House Bill 1467 but did not support House Bill 1465 and House Bill 1468.

House Bill 1467 bans "bump stocks" and similar devices allowing semi-automatic rifles to mimic full-auto fire. It also allows local governments to enact their own assault weapons bans. Oberweis supported House Bill 1467, which passed the Senate by a 37-16-3 vote.

chicago law enforcement doesn't seem to care about the gang violence, probably because the chicago mob in the city elected offices are getting kickbacks from the major gangs there, but they will most definitely crack down on regular citizens with guns because it takes away from their job security and power.

Hey, dummy, it says no such thing. He supported 1467, NOT 1465 or 1468. You're either a liar, or just stupid. Frankly, it's probably the latter.

House Bill 1465 bans possession of rifles by anyone younger than 21. The bill does create several conditions for an affirmative defense to a charge that must be proven at trial, but it does not creates exceptions to the offense. Oberweis did not support House Bill 1465, which passed the Senate by a 33-22-2 vote.

House Bill 1468 establishes a 72-hour waiting period for semi-automatic rifles, semi-automatic shotguns, semi-automatic pistols, and .50 caliber rifles. It also bans the sale of these firearms to non-residents at gun shows. Oberweis did not support House Bill 1468, which passed the Senate by a 43-15-0 vote.
