The National Anthem is played before sporting events.

There is only one and the one claimed to be the black anthem is not the National Anthem.

It really was wasn't it? Lift Every Voice is a very nice hymn, with a long history..... appropriate for many special occasions.. it's just not a replacement or an add on to the National Anthem... especially not at sporting events... The Anthem is played as we probably raise the flag of our country and honor it... One Nation one people...

When I was a kid the baseball Cardinals offered Straight A tickets to students at a discounted price, or maybe they were free, I don't recall exactly. At any rate, we went to several games every summer. There were many people who didn't stand for the anthem for whatever reasons. No one said anything or thought anything of it. MAGATs were still in their diapers back then, I guess, so Reichwing Poutrage(tm) hadn't yet been invented.
