DEI is still alive

When you are making hiring decisions on the basis of racism, sexism, exclusivity, or other non-work-related measures you are weakening and ultimately potentially destroying your company. DEI is ALL BAD. There is no upside to it.

You do realize that's exactly what DEI programs are designed to prevent, right?

Are you talking about your anecdotes?
No, I'm talking about examples. You asked I use "pilots" as the example. I did. American Airlines has a QUOTA for pilot training of 50% minorities and females. Either they accept potential shortages, or they lower standards to meet that unless there is a pool large enough of potential candidates that they can pick and choose from. In any case, it is a QUOTA system, and they are not taking the best applicants regardless of race or gender.

That's one of several examples I gave.

Ok. Let's say you're correct. Are there any complaints about their abilities/talents? Any disasters?

I could start with a comparison of airline safety records.

That is your opinion. DEI does not hire less qualified people.
Agreed. At least not in my industry. Everyone is qualified. What's also true is that, in an effort to diversify, a slightly less technically qualified applicant may be hired but they are always qualified. Most professions required certification or a license. The fucking gub'ment, amirite?

All the White Nationalists see is a darker skinned male or female get a job ahead of them. They want to make it a law that white males go first. Another reason why they want to "restore" the Constitution to just the Bill of Rights and delete all the other Amendments.

Nope. It's about inclusivity. It makes sure that well qualified Black people are not being overlooked.

And it also makes sure that LGBTQ and other minority group people are treated fairly whether in hiring or while employed. In fact, it has more to do with fair treatment of ALL employees than it does with affirmative action.

That tends to be the case. Happened to me with a lateral promotion I put in for. It was a 'All hands-on deck' emergency with upper management when they recognized they'd opened themselves up to a sure lose lawsuit if I filed one against them. I was offered all sorts of stuff to make it go away and took that route. Basically, for the last years before I retired, all I had to do was show up and got left alone because management didn't want any trouble from me.

Makes you sound like your fabled nonqualified, lazy DEI hire. lol
