Deep fried Pelican.....

I heard Blanch won!
Wow, out of so many Primaries one person who was thought to be in a "close" race won!

You should promote that as meaning that everybody loves Obama's plans and push for every candidate to have Obama come on down and "help" them win their elections...

No it comes from Obama's EPA, since they wouldn't let BP clean up the water unless they did it to 15ppm.

Yeah!

How DARE those douchebags at the EPA!

How DARE they expect BP to clean up the oil THEY SPILLED and return the surrounding waters of the Gulf to the condition it enjoyed before some greedy petro-chem giant destroyed the Gulf region's ecosystem!

How DARE they!?!

Inane. Disallowing cleanup methods because it won't be pristine enough now does not make it better when they finally are able to focus on the cleanup. Don't just stand there pointing fingers; lead, follow, or get the heck out of the way.

It is time to get your Great Leader to do something other than attempt to cap and tax us into the stone age while attempting to look "more angry" to assuage the populace and make them "feel" like he's suddenly caring. My suggesting is to begin by immediately getting rid of all the red tape that has so crippled any response. (Crap he should have done that on day 2.)

Rubbish.

BP is whining about the EPA guidelines because they know if they can whine and stall and drag their feet long enough, they can get required cleanliness standards reduced and maybe save themselves a few bucks.

BP should just stop whining and get busy cleaning.

This is amazing. Since Day 1, the Obama administration has been completely paralyzed in dealing with any of this crisis, and the Federal government has done everything in its power to hamper the efforts of BP while continuing to tar and feather them. The governors of the gulf states effected, have literally had to BEG the Federal government to let them build sand berms to stop the oil from making landfall! Experts in the industry, who have dealt with spills of this magnitude, have offered their suggestions for what to do, as early as Day 2 of the crisis, and were categorically REJECTED by the Obama administration! There was almost a month, that we could have done something to prevent this oil from reaching the shoreline, and Obama did NOTHING! I still don't think he has even declared it a Federal disaster at this point! And it appears, Obama and his sycophants, are content to sit on their ass and continue to point the finger of blame at BP, and talk tough, while refusing to lead or allow anyone else to take the lead in this crisis! It's just stunning to me... abso-fucking-loutely stunning!

I'm sorry, I must be watching the wrong channels for news coverage of this.

Can you direct me to whatever channel shows the US military lined up along the affected beaches stopping BP from cleaning up the mess THEY made?

Can you also direct me to some footage to back your allegation that gulf states Governors were "literally begging the Federal Government for permission to build sand berms"?

Ridiculous hyperbole instead of answers...just what we ALWAYS get from ol dixie.

There you go: mindless banter from some POS who doesn't comprehend, never mind understand, the difficulties involved in cleaning up that massive volume of water to 15ppm, yet insisting on it.

BP could have easily skimmed up the oil-water mixture, run it through an on-board gravity oil-water separator, then discharged the water back into the ocean at 97 to 99%. But Obama's EPA insists on 15 parts per million, and since that can't be accomplished on board a ship, BP is forced to leave all of the shit in the water and watch the disaster unfold.

Does that make you happy, Zippy?

You ignorant piece of shit.

Leave it to a greedy petro-chem company to want to be able to reap all the benefits of their cushy arangement with the Government, but then, when things go bad, they just aren't willing to do what's right and clean it up to the way things were before the disaster.

You DUMB FUCK.

You can't dredge without a permit, and you can't get a permit without filing an Environmental Impact Statement. In the EIS you have to prove that the dredging operation won't harm the sea life in your dredging area, and that the sediments don't contain hazardous materials. Years of research, reporting, public review and comment, the inevitable lawsuits, and finally adjudication has to be done.

The only person who can go around all that horseshit is the POTUS, by executive order. Your messiah.

I see that you are unable, due to complete ignorance, to understand the issue, never mind put forth any salient comment on it. What a fucking surprise.

Obama lies, sea life dies.

We will never be a secure nation when we're dependent on foreign oil.

This is an opportunity for us as a country to move away from fossil fuel, to do a better job of looking at renewable energies that are available to us all over this country.

BP isn't whining, we (as in citizens, not BP) are simply pointing out why they aren't using the tools that have been offered. Because the government apparently would rather do nothing at all than something that isn't "perfect". It's flat idiotic to ignore it so you can be even more apologist. When people are screwing up this bad, you fix it. One thing you don't do is make sure that all the red tape is thicker than ever then tell me how you're going to "kick ass" as "soon as you can get people to tell you whose to kick"...

Seriously? After 60 days that's all he's got?

I think you should send these to Obama, he can use them in the next speech he gives on the crisis, I am sure the people of the Gulf Coast will get a kick out of it. Really, it's nice to know the Democrats who are completely inept at dealing with this crisis, can still find some levity and humor. I think that might be a rather endearing trait to the typical American voter, don't you think so?

While you're at it, send this out to Olbermann and Jon Stewart, as well as the SNL bunch, they can all use this funny material to give us something to laugh about while we watch the pelicans die. I just wish Bush and the Republicans had thought to do this with Katrina, it may have made all the difference in the world, if we had come out with a list of jokes to keep people laughing while New Orleans flooded. Damn, we're just not as clever as you Liberals!

Utter bullshit.

If BP could so easily remove 97-99% of the oil by using a gravity oil/water separator, then why wouldn't they then simply send the newly filtered water by pipe from the first ship to ANOTHER ship with the capability to filter the remaining oil out to achieve the 15ppm required?

No, BP is foot dragging in order to get concessions granted so they won't have to properly clean up their disaster.

Because the tech doesn't exist to do this on board a ship with the quantities of water that need to be treated.

Only an elected official can waive the stringent EPA requirements.

Obama lies, wildlife dies.

If I were a writer for Saturday Night Live I'd have Obama "winning" any number of races by jumping in at the end and claiming "victory". He'd start the Boston Marathon, run 20 yards and dive into the crowd, go play golf, do some bowling (special olympics style), catch a few Zzzzz's, hold a committee as to when he should jump into the race and really start running, pretend to listen then jump in at the last 20 yards, grab a trophy, make a speech, move on to the next race...

I'd also have him in a committee working on who to get "mad" at next so that people would take him seriously, practicing thrusting a finger into the table (a la Olbermann), sitting in front of a mirror trying to make his eyebrows go down a bit more so he'll look even more "angry"...

Then have his teleprompter give him his "target" for the "fight"... "Turn Left, swing foot forwards, connect with a$$"....

It would be unrelenting. This guy (and his VP) provides at least as much opportunity as GHWB and Quayle did!
