Dear Mrs. trump

Clemens was a product of his age, Christiecrite, just as Ted Geisler was a product of his, and Klansman Byrd, Hillary's "lion" was a product of the more recent history of the DEMOCRAT Party, Christiecrite.

Yes, by today's standards, there is rayciss language in some of Samuel's classics. You knew that already, didn't you, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite.

The same rayciss terms are bandied about and celebrated as 'black culture' when they rapped, aren't they, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite.

What SJWs consider rayciss today was not deemed thought-crime in the past, was it, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite.

It seems like you want to selectively "forgive" some, and not others, Christiecrite. Is that an accurate assessment, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite.

Samuel Clemens' life spanned the eras in which DEMOCRATS enslaved and oppressed black Americans, didn't he, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite.

I support no censorship, Christiecrite. In my view, words have no power unless Y O U give it to them, Christiecrite. If words frighten you so much that you want to censor speech and images that Y O U deem offensive, are you better than the Nazis, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite.

You heart is black as sin, isn't it, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite. :rofl2:

So you "forgive" Twain but not Byrd, amirite? And I support no censorship either cur, but you already knew that, cur.

I didn't say I forgave anyone, did I, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite.

I asked you several questions, Christiecrite, and you answered one.

Answer the rest, Christiecrite.

Answer, Christiecrite. :rofl2:

Since I wrote the first post, I discovered that Baum called for the extermination of all Native Americans.

From his Sitting Bull editorial:
The proud spirit of the original owners of these vast prairies inherited through centuries of fierce and bloody wars for their possession, lingered last in the bosom of Sitting Bull. With his fall the nobility of the Redskin is extinguished, and what few are left are a pack of whining curs who lick the hand that smites them. The Whites, by law of conquest, by justice of civilization, are masters of the American continent, and the best safety of the frontier settlements will be secured by the total annihilation of the few remaining Indians. Why not annihilation? Their glory has fled, their spirit broken, their manhood effaced; better that they die than live the miserable wretches that they are.

Look where /when it was written. It's unsurprising considering he was in South Dakota for the Indian wars.
History becomes clearer and more rich when one understands the perspective of the subject are surely shaped by their time and experiences.
Stating the obvious here, but we do tend to miss historical context when we dryly evaluate history.
You can't judge a man without first walking in his shoes

Part of that description sounds like it applies to today's liberals, doesn't it, Christiecrite?

I understand all that. I believe the theory is called presentism, applying today's ideas and perspectives to past events. But you wouldn't know it from some of the posts we see here, especially from people trying to pin the Democratic positions of a century ago (KKK, etc.) to the party today.

OMG you got me, typed 125 instead of 124. How can I ever make amends for this egregious mistake that will live in infamy.

I forgive you, Christiecrite, even though it looks like you're still confused about post numbers.

Have you been at the Communion wine?

You need God's forgiveness for your sins, not mine.

Will you confess and repent, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite. :rofl2:

I didn't know the term -presentism. thanks

translation: If your a democrat president make sure you only give to a school with liberal leadership and vice versa for republicans.

Where are the rest of my answers, Christiecrite?

God forbid anybody make a typo here, scaled cat. Do you call out your messiah trump for his? The man can't even spell the word "tap" correctly.

Trump is my messiah, Christiecrite?

When did I say that Christiecrite? :dunno:

Link it up before you stink it up, will you, Christiecrite?

Answer, Christiecrite :rofl2:

I seem to recall that the excuse Ms. SJW liberal librarian gave for refusing the books from FLOTUS was that her district was so well-endowed that it didn't need any donations.

It looks like her well-off district doesn't refuse all donations, doesn't it?

Then how can this apparent contradiction be explained? :dunno:

The Sob Sisters' spirited succor for their like-minded liberal librarian has a hole in it big enough to drive a Truck of Peace through, doesn't it?
