Ok, so there is a sports section on these boards.

But Bama is 14-0 and the 2009 National Champion. The crystal football is headed home to Tuscaloosa where it belongs.

We had so much fun lets do it again next year.
 
I was glad TX actually made a game out of it in the 2nd half, but a nice win, nonetheless.

That was the most violent gatorade pour I have ever seen, though...
 
I hate that McCoy was knocked out of the game. It would have been much better to have won it with all the Texas players able to play.

But I honestly believe the result would have been the same.
 
I just think it would have been cooler if Texas had played their best players. I'd have been hacked if I were a Texas fan.
 
SEC rules!

AS much as I dislike Alabama, being from Auburn, I was happy to see the SEC defend the title!
 
If Texas is going to get a well-deserved beat down, I don't want them to have excuses for it...

"If we had been playing McCoy they'd have never stood a chance!"....

The fact that Colt couldn't feel his right arm. That sort of makes a QB worthless.

Would the game have been different if he played? Absolutely.

Would Texas have won? No way to tell. It would have been a different game.

I agree that Bama would not have played the same had McCoy still been in... they most certainly wouldn't have played that weak ass 'offense' in the third quarter.

One thing I do know... Nebraska had a better Defense this year than Bama... especially on the d-line.

The other thing... I would take that Darius kid over Mount Cody. That 300 pounder is quick and agile... especially for someone his size.

In my opinion, had McCoy not been a puss... TX would have won that game.

LOL. I do not believe that Colt couldn't feel his right arm any more than I believe that Ritter is quitting the Governorship in order to spend more time with his family.
 
I the best I can say about this year in college football is that the SEC is the best conference and Auburn almost beat Bama!

Cody had a specific job, and that is to clog up the center lanes and occupy two blockers. He did that as well as anyone. The way Saban's defense is designed, Cody was not going to get lots of sacks. But when you close the center lanes you force them outside. The other defensive players covered that. Darius did what he did very well. Just as Arenas, McClain, Barron, Deadrick, and Anders did.

After McCoy went out, the entire defensive schemes changed. I don't think he would have had much more success than Gilbert did. The receivers dropped more passes than they caught, and the running game was going to be key no matter who played under center.

If I was an actual fan I'd probably be even more rabid about it, as it stands I don't care about either team, I wanted to see a good game.

If I were fans of Alabama I'd still be hacked. I'd prefer to win without controversy.
 
For the big 12 losers crying. Did Colt slip getting off the bus or did Alabama's D take him out.

That's why the SEC has won 4 in a row. We play tough D and are battle tested.
