Crowds flock to reopened Jacksonville beaches as Florida hits record coronavirus case

Goodbye Arks&sparka,

And you clearly do not know how to have a respectful discussion.

The above is a clear PIP violation.

The sentence is permanent Ignore, to be carried out immediately, with no chance of revocation.

You have become the latest example that I mean what I say, and that I stand behind my word:

Personal Ignore Policy PIP: I like civil discourse. I will give you all the respect in the world if you respect me. Mouth off to me, or express overt racism, you will be PERMANENTLY Ignore Listed. Zero tolerance. No exceptions. I'll never read a word you write, even if quoted by another, nor respond to you, nor participate in your threads. ... Ignore the shallow. Cherish the thoughtful. Long Live Civil Discourse, Mutual Respect, and Good Debate!

Have a nice life. I wish you no ill will. I simply do not care to ever talk to you again. I hope you are able to find a way out of some of your animosity in the future (that you would unload on a complete stranger like that) and achieve some more maturity, and hopefully others will benefit from that. I will not. You just blew your chance to ever have a respectful discussion with me.

C'est la vie.

This is priceless, simply priceless.

"The sentence is permanent."

Permanent, I say.

Oh, the humanity!

You people are so funny.

All you know how to do is squawk that people you disagree with are dumber than you.

The irony is rather funny as you present your kindergartener points of view.

You couldn't even debate with a kindergartener.

That silly shit was a new one, but it's beginnings go back to 1992 and the Clinton campaign. I'm not blaming just the Clintons here. While I liked Ronald Reagan a lot and think he was the best President in 50 years, when he cut a deal with Jerry Falwell, it was the beginning of the end of the GOP. Now the GOP is dead and we only have the Republican Party...which now is the Party of Trump.
poor thing.Goldwater is long gone.get over it

So you think the people that voted for Trump collectively pick up his shit? You only need one two people tops for that. Nobody would know what to do with 29 million.
I bet that you're really proud of your diploma from Trump university.

Hardly. But the right simply doesn't care how many die as long as profits are being made.

True. OTOH, more and more on the Left are finding out they can't survive without working. The US is the richest, most powerful nation on the planet, yet we don't have the resources to weather a 6-month shut down. Trump is printing money like Charmin makes toilet paper. Why? Because our nation is in debt up to its eyeballs with zero savings.

Smart people save for a rainy day. A month is reasonable. Two months is better, but six months is well beyond the capabilities of most Middle and Lower Income Americans. They have to work. They'll do so recognizing that our nation could lose 3-9 Million Americans in the next year unless a cure or vaccine is discovered. It's a matter of necessity. When this is over, I suspect most people will be pissed and be questioning our leadership why our nation was so ill-prepared for this event.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a fundamental ideological change sweep across the nation just as happened after WWII, Vietnam, Watergate and 9/11. Losing millions of Americans would do that.

I don't get it.

I am not super rich. What I am is frugal. I never bought a new car in my life, even though I am now in a position where I could walk into a dealership and pay cash for most common cars. I figured out early on in life that car payments prevent savings. Instead of buying a new car, I learned how to work on cars, nursed along whatever I was driving as I saved for the next car. Trial and error led to learning how to discern a good car from a bad one. Only get good cars, keep them to the point of practicality, then find another and get rid of the old. Preferably, get the new one before getting rid of the old. That way one is never forced to make a deal by time constraints. Generally avoid dealerships because they have to make a profit on the deal.

Also figure the efficiency of the car. When you add up the cost of the car, repairs and maintenance, that's one cost, but after enough miles the biggest cost of a car is fuel (over the life of the car.) That means it is a cost savings to get the one with the best efficiency that will work for your needs.

Then learn how to hyper-mile. This kind of driving can cause your fuel to last 1.5 times to 2 times as far as impetuous driving.

Anybody can do these things. Most don't. They require thinking for yourself and making up your mind that this is what you are going to do.

The real reason most people don't do this kind of thing?

There is no instant gratitude. The benefits don't come right away.

Doesn't work for short attention-span people.

I find it irresistible. A lifetime of these kinds of habits will result in you being richer by thousands of dollars.

I love it when a plan comes to fruition.

Not everyone is that smart. It took me until I was almost 30 to learn that lesson. Most people do not. It's not a matter of intelligence, but one of social values and leadership. It appears ours is lacking.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

Not everyone is that smart. It took me until I was almost 30 to learn that lesson. Most people do not. It's not a matter of intelligence, but one of social values and leadership. It appears ours is lacking.

I couldn't afford to spend a lot on cars from the start. I liked finding cars 'with all the right things wrong with them,' meaning whatever repairs they needed were something I could do with affordable parts. Oh yeah, I became familiar going to the boneyards and pulling parts. Whatever I had to do. I have swapped out engines and transmissions. Sometimes I took on projects that were too time consuming, but sweat equity is free and it gives you plenty of time to think about future decisions. The first ten cars I owned, I actually sold them for more than I paid for them, although the parts and hours I put into them did not reflect a true savings. Gradually I learned what was worth while and what was a time and parts eater.

I began to look at cars in terms of total spent to purchase, maintain, insure, repair and fuel them vs the number of years and miles achieved. You want the most years and miles for the fewest dollars and hours. Once I began to think in those terms I was able to minimize the amount spent.

I had to get beyond thinking about the car as a status symbol or source of pride at the stoplight. Because really, those things are not very valuable. Now I value safety, comfort, reliability, and overall economy.

I now generally get low miles cars a few years old, put some miles on them, care for them well, and swap 'em out before they need anything major.

If I had money to burn, I guess I wouldn't consider how much I spend on cars. Then I could have a car that reflects such a position. But I don't, so I don't.

And that doesn't bother me at all. I love my life. I would just love it more if we didn't have this crisis going on.

So is the Republican Party. Get over it.
ROFL..you are so fucking weird.
The establishment Republican party served no one but the rich and powerful. Why in the hell you would want that back is insane.

Iback Trump's populism ( America first) -but am in no way atuned to McConnelland that crowd.
5 years from now I'll re evaluate and figure out which part of the duopoly is the lessor of 2 evils
