Coup d'etat.

I of course understand Teflon is setting up a constitutional crisis scenario with his Trump refusal hypo, but I'd also like to add the the judiciary has the power to issue writs to command the performance of acts. The belief that the judiciary is absolutely void of jurisdiction to execute, or that the executive is devoid of power to rule, or that congress is void as a deliberative tribunal, are all simplistic.

Courts can and do issue writs. Were the potus to refuse to follow the law, a court could issue a writ of mandamus, or prohibition and could try to bring him to justice in the criminal justice system. The potus is just a citizen, as are we all, not a king or sovereign.

A recent example of an "impeachment" for refusal to follow a federal court order is Roy Moore of the Alabama Supreme Court. The guy was removed for refusing to follow the Supreme Courts ruling on gay marriage.

Good example. Impeachment may mean censure, and removal mean err ...removal. But yes, contempt places a person squarely in the sights of the judiciary's power to issue writs. In England that power derived from the KIng, but in our case, there is no king, merely a recalcitrant cheeto. The power exists due to common law and the US Constitution article 3.

Let's hope he goes Nixonian, frog march his ass and pillory him in the public square.

I have not seen where he has crossed the line yet into impeachable territory, that seems to be a line he is getting good advice about, but I dont know how long such a person can restrain himself.

No doubt, Trump has 'disparaged' the rulings, verbally...lol

THAT is not attacking their legitimacy at all....it is disagreeing with their findings....

^^ How dumb is this. When he referenced Robart as a "so-called judge" that was attacking his legitimacy.

You are conflating things for your own ends.

They didn't prohibit anything. They made a ruling. States have "CHOSEN" to accept it, but they aren't bound by anything. As I said, if a STATE CHOOSES to tell the Supreme Court to go fuck itself the Supreme Court is helpless. It can't do shit.

As I have pointed out, the US Constitution never, ever, ever entrusted the US Supreme Court with the powers to be the final arbiter of interpreting the Constitution. If you can find anything in any of the Articles, I would be happy to read it. As always with liberals, you have chosen to "interpret" the US Constitution to fit your world view and not in the manner which it was written or intended

Did you take Social Studies in Middle School?

Look at what happened to Jusitce Roy Moore of the Alabama Supreme Court when he instructed the Clerks of Court to ignore the Supreme Court's ruling on gay marriage.

I dare Trump to ignore a ruling from the Courts, he knows better.

That is absolutely not what the judge said. The judge said that under the law he has to favor issuing a TRO in favor of the status quo if the Plaintiffs show a reasonable likelihood of winning, and he ruled that the Plaintiffs did that.
The red, emboldened part is exactly why he's an idiot. The only way I would retract that opinion is if he had added, "given the sorry state of the American judiciary today, these shitheads actually DO have a likelihood of winning"

1) Trump is doing something very different than what Trump is doing, he is trying to weaken the structure of our government as it was built by the founders.

Wrong again Counselor; Obama tried to weaken the structure of our government as it was built by the founders.

Dunce

Wrong again Cpunselor; it's asswhipe leftTards like you who are doing all the bitching and whining.

It's not about them doing it too; it is about THEM being massive lying hypocrites.

Impeachment would be the first line of enforcement for such action.

Wrong again counselor; this judge should have thrown this baseless and meritless effort out because it is fact challenged and a massive pile of bullschit.

Dunce.

Dear moron; what law did Trump fail to follow?
