It's much less humid in North Texas than along the Gulf Coast. We do store some stuff, but I can get enough during sales at local grocery stores that the extra cost and driving time to Sam's Club or Costco isn't worth it. Even if only once a month.Same here, we don’t use stuff in bulk anymore. I also don’t have the storage I did in Alaska. You can’t store anything in your garage in Texas! The cans rust and things like sugar turn into a big hard block. I’ve never seen anything like it. And weevils WTH? Never experienced these things in Alaska.
Well, that's a good point. It would make their little boycott attempt even more insignificant.$20 says most MAGAts can't afford a Costco membership, can't afford to shop there and were never members to begin with.
LOL Agreed. Lots of noise, little effect.Well, that's a good point. It would make their little boycott attempt even more insignificant.
I belong to Sam's club. We have Costco too, but one club membership is enough. They have a gas station that at times had prices $.20/gallon cheaper, with premium often being $.50/gallon cheaper. My VW takes premium, so at times I'll put a handful of 5 gallon gas cans in the pickup. I live 30 miles away, so it's not worth it to drive down solely for gas.Same here, we don’t use stuff in bulk anymore. I also don’t have the storage I did in Alaska. Gas at HEB our local grocery store is as cheap as Costco. Costco, Walmart and HEB usually have the lowest prices. I love our HEB grocery chain.I belong to Sam's club. I buy almost no food there, save for snacks. If I shop locally and shop the specials in the meat dept. it's actually cheaper than Sam's. I do save a lot on coffee beans, and quite often on certain clothing items that are great for work. I get decent fleece lined hooded sweatshirts for $15 instead of $60 for Carhartt. The material might not stand up to hard outdoor work like the Carhartts, but they are certainly just as warm. Similarly, in the summer I get cargo shorts that are great for work, often for $10 or less.
Clumping cat litter is also a great price there, and every so often there is a houseware item being closed out for half price.
It's worth the ever increasing annual membership fee, but again...I don't get caught up in the trance that many do. It's like Home Depot. People grab everything up thinking it's all cheaper than a local lumber yard when nothing could be further from the truth. If you know pricing, you can maximize your Club store experience.
It IS good for people who do fundraisers or have large events where buying bulk makes sense.
During the winter holiday months, Sam's sometimes has yummy packs of baklava. At Costco, they have macarons.I belong to Sam's club. We have Costco too, but one club membership is enough. Go woke, go broke. Sure, companies are free to include DEI. They are free to screw up.I quit that place decades ago, maybe now I’ll go back. Companies should be free to include DEI f they wish.
MAGA isn't a person, Sybil. DEI isn't capitalism. Redefinition fallacy. Calling everyone a pedophile doesn't accomplish anything. Go learn English. You don't even know what fascism is.Just more proof the MAGA morons really are morons who hate American capitalism. Fuck these pedophile-supporting, fascist fucks.
Maybe some day you'll learn how to store food, Phanty.Same here, we don’t use stuff in bulk anymore. I also don’t have the storage I did in Alaska. You can’t store anything in your garage in Texas!
