It's only 11 years, 10 months, 4 weeks and 1 day we've been at war in Afghanistan.

Some justify Iraq even though it was only a single person's word that convinced us to engage in this war. Some justify Afghanistan even though the war papers were on the presidents desk before 911.

Anyone with a brain about Foreign Policy knows that the less we try to play cop/god, the better. The more we play god, the more the rest of the Country wants to Unionize and take us out.
 
I see all the liberals saying they 'were in favor of Afghanistan was,' do they mean early on, or Obama's ratcheting up? If the later, what did they think of taking some of assets in Iraq to Afghanistan? What was the hope there? It'd been played out eons ago, military wise. How was this addressing not getting into a quagmire? How was this 'smart' diplomacy?

This is one of the reason I am Anti-Party. Just look at the threads right now. Right wingers screaming "victory" because Obama is making a bad move here. No one is victorious in this situation except for the corporations that profit.

The Left will justify it's wars and ridicule the Right's wars and the Right will justify it's wars and ridicule the Left's wars. This "winning over morality" idea is killing America. Republicans, Democrats and Libertarians are all idiots in my book because they submit to a clan where they can't think for themselves.

And since The Dude is groaning the video's above I'll assume he believes Obama and Bush's reasons for war instead of looking into the actual information out there. There is tons of information and history on this. All you have to do is watch the video. Most won't because they think they already have all the information..

You've never seen anything bad happen when people trusted their Government marched them in the wrong direction? What's wrong with the people using their own brain. What's wrong with collecting fact. It's a sad day when information like this makes much more sense than what our Government is selling us.

The hippies had it right from the start. It was indirectly war for oil....or petro-dollar to be more exact.

You are clearly new to Foreign Policy. No offense, most people on this site are. They are only here to troll the other side generally.

No one stated that gas wasn't used......if that's what you are saying, you were not clear.

But no one can prove Assad is the one that used it. The rebels could have used it to get America involved knowing Obama had drawn the red line. Even members of Assad's army were killed in the gas attack.

Do you know what the Petro-Dollar is? Do you know what would happen to the American dollar if Iran, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and others started exchanging oil PRIMARILY for gold instead of the USD? It could topple us as a Country. After watching this information for years now and seeing things like this predicted then actually happening, I was convinced this is a large possibility and is much more likely than what the US Government is selling us.

Don't you remember Iran and everyone on Fox News and in the government screaming "They are making nukes" and had video footage of "blue tarps covering things" with a little arrow that pointed to the blue tarps saying "possible nukes".

You can keep believing we went to war in Iraq because of WMD's. You can forget that the war papers for Afghanistan were on Bush's desk before 911. You can justify Libya but can't find actual proof that Gaddafi was killing his people. And you can't find proof that Assad was the one that used gas.

Note that, THAT movie might not make sense if you didn't watch the other one. The one that is actually about the petro-dollar.
