I believe in paying for things that you receive, our nation is not free, the roads we drive on are not free, all kinds of services I use are not free, so no, I don't consider it oppression when I have to pay my taxes, I consider it a patriotic duty and I am proud to contribute to something that has given me so much.

I don't expect handouts from my government, I expect to pay for what I get.

So while we are pretending, let's pretend that the tax code is fair, that the tax code is not the result of crony politics, that the deficit is not heading for $18 trillion or that politicians love to spend OTHER peoples money to dupe brain dead twits into electing them.

I expect not to have my home burglarized because of the decades of money I've invested in the war on the poverty was supposed to prevent that type of thing. Didn't work out that way. In fact, despite all I've contributed, apparently we now have more poverty than ever.

I haven't had my home burglarized in 20 years, and I don't lock the doors in the day time. I get a lot for what I pay.

Taft has to give money to the people building his highways, fighting his wars, and making sure his food isn't toxic. I'm overflowing with grief for his struggles.
