Why should insurance companies insure people with preexisting conditions?
Ok, so people with diagnosed illnesses should not have access to health care? Is that what you're saying? If not, please tell me what you mean by this.

Do you ever attempt to debate?
See, a non-retard would have engaged Oncy by answering his questions.

everyone has access to health care in this country, will you quit twisting things..
Having a conversation with you. Please let me know what you meant if I was incorrect.
there already is a Government program for people with preexisting conditions who doesn't have insurance...
it's called medicare and medicaid..
Everybody doesn't qualify for these. For medicare there's an age limitation, for medicaid there's an income qualification. What about those people who lost jobs, get minimal unemployment insurance, and have to pay COBRA to keep up coverage? COBRA is nothing more than adding insult to injury as the cost is so high many can't buy it.

COBRA coverage costs exactly the same amount as it did while you were employed.....

Um, no. Your employer pays a good portion of it. Have you ever been on COBRA? I have. It was costing me about $500 a month.

It's already been asked, but what about those people that don't qualify for medicaid?
you ever heard of paying for your own bills?
Sure, and that would be great, but what about those people who would have to make a choice between buying groceries or paying for health insurance?
many people lived with making sacrifices in the past to pay their bills, maybe this generation ought to try it. and stop whining for the Government to take care of them..eh?
That doesn't answer my question. If it's not obvious to everyone in this thread yet, this hypothetical uninsured person who a preexisting condition is me. There is no actual choice. Either I pay to buy food, which I will add is scant, or I pay for insurance.
What would you do in my position meme? I'm serious, any help to get out of this situation would be awesome.
