I doubt you use them to bolster most of the positions you hold, ca...and you really should not have done so here.

I'm a Republican who didn't vote for Trump. I'm a #nevertrumper. I've read plenty of work from fellow #nevertrumpers. Among #nevertrumpers however some people have jumped the shark, Jenifer Rubin being one of them. She has on multiple occasions contradicted positions she has previously supported because Trump has taken them. That's not being principled that's just being for the opposite of what someone else supports. So having seen that far to often in her writing I no longer read her work or label her a conservative. She's just flat out anti-Trump. One can be anti-Trump while still supporting conservative principles. She's not one of those people.

If she is a true conservative, which clearly shows you've have read her recent work, is that why she was labeled a hack of the year by Salon and had other liberal publications call her a flat our bad writer?

I did not say she is "principled."

In fact, I said she is a conservative...a true conservative.

Perhaps you have read some of the things I have mentioned about American conservatives, ca.

If you can find "principled" among the things I have said about them...point it out to me. I will apologize...because that is the last thing I see them as being.

What I am saying is that she is a true conservative (in my opinion meaning that she is VERY WRONG ON ALMOST EVERY ISSUE OF IMPORTANCE), but at least able to be part of a needed faction...a loyal opposition.

Members of the "loyal opposition" do not have to be "principled" to a major degree...they simply have to oppose some of the excesses of the governing party.
