The gunman can empty one magazine and start on a new one before anyone can travel that measly 10 feet and ready his firearm....

Coulda, woulda, shoulda, mighta......why bother to fantasize about what might have been....

The fact is, a killer that prepares himself and has the will and plan to kill without regard for his own safety will ALWAYS get the job done to some degree.....if not with guns, with bombs, with knives, with poisons, with baseball bats if necessary.....thats just reality.....

while BAC is right, we should also have armor piercing ammo, most carriers that take any serious training use the 2 to the chest, 1 to the head method...meaning that we shoot twice to the chest quickly and if the target doesn't seem affected, then one time to the head.

The 2nd Amendment, as is the Constitution, a living document. It was designed as a living document. Thus, when the dictates of society require that it be changed, altered, and/or modified to address the dynamic nature of an ever-evolving society, then those changes can and should be made.

That being said .. I already know that they when it comes to guns, no reasonable changes will be made.
