Clock is ticking down... All Dems can do is HATE!

LMAO... Palin is not part of any group that represents me no matter how much you want to pretend it. She is not running for any office in 2010. She is on no ballots. So again, like I stated before, Desh is an idiot for stating that RCP was just about a couple of polls and a couple of races.

That said, I would agree, if the Reps don't retake the House and pick up at least 6 seats in the Senate, it would indeed be a very poor showing given the current environment.

True, Palin might up and quit halfway through the campaign, and Beck's a Mormon. We know how much the GOP treasures religious diversity.

So who have you racists got in mind to run against the most hated Black American in history, then?

Do, tell.

Who? the 'decent' people?

LMAO... is this like the global warmers investigating themselves?

Not at all. It's like saying people who take regular baths, generally are cleaner and healthier. People who practice safe driving, don't generally have as many accidents or get as many tickets. People who are assholes on a message board, generally are assholes in real life. It's kind of like that with church and decent behavior, it's self evident.

It's self evident, stupid. :palm:
No it's not self evident. Some of the biggest scum bags and villains I know are devoutly religious and attend church or synagogue on a regular basis. Some of the most moral people I know are not religious. So, since you're the one who stated that studies have shown this correlation to be true, please provide us with the credible sources to back that up.

I don't see it as self-evident. I'm not sure if you're aware, but the church has been in the news a lot over the past few years, and the stories I've seen don't reflect "decent" behavior.

Skinheads go to church; Nazis go to church; the KKK goes to church. I don't see much that is "self evident" about going to church.

No it's not. Because I can provide peer reviewed studies of how proper hygiene prevents disease. Please show us the peer reviewed scientific studes that show the correlation between "decency" and attending church. Are we asking to much for you to back up your claims with facts?

So you're an asshole in real life, too?

Mott... If I felt compelled to go dig up the statistics and studies, I could. On any "moral" issue, the "evangelicals" (people who go to church) support overwhelmingly, the "moral" side as opposed to the "immoral" side. Abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia, premarital sex, whatever... across the board, overwhelmingly the "moral" position is supported by those who attend church regularly. If you have any studies to the contrary, now is the time to present those to challenge my assertion.... but, you don't, so.....

You're not the arbiter of morality, Dix - hate to break it to you. You're assumptions are nothing more than personal bias.

So you admit you lied.

No assumptions, not being an arbiter, just stating facts. Sorry you are so profoundly ignorant not to recognize those, but I can't do a thing about that. You guys need to keep responding to this with your idiocy... I feel a new sig line coming, really, I do!

We disagree about your version of what is "moral" for the issues you listed.

Abortion - I personally think it is immoral and kind of police-state like to force a woman to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term.

Euthanasia - in a case like Terry Schiavo's, I can't imagine what it's like to be trapped in a body & mind that doesn't work anymore, and having a bunch of self-righteous politicians argue that it's "moral" that I should have to stay that way for many years.

Gay marriage - how moral is it to treat people as 2nd class citizens, and enable the kind of violence & bullying we have seen more of in recent weeks with your rhetoric? Trust me - it isn't what Jesus would do.

Premarital sex - one of the funniest concepts of "immorality" ever. I'd wager that the strongest voices against it had it, or have had an extramarital affair. There is nothing "immoral" about sex in my view.

Now, I know you disagree with these views, but again - you are not the arbiter of morality. There is no authoritative voice that says your positions are any more moral than mine, and that's just a fact.

Do you really think that people who are assholes on message boards are assholes in real life too? I've often wondered about that.

LOL.... that is quite sad ditzie.... it is not self evident. Your simply stating that it is doesn't make it so.

And I am betting you probably don't attend church regularly.

My point is made... thanks! :good4u:

Probably some, but I don't think all are. I think people definitely act differently with anonymity than they would in person.

But no question that some are...

I don't know what to do.... I am an asshole on the board, an asshole to morons like Ditzie in real life, a decent person and an agnostic. My personal situation both supports and contradicts ditzie. What am I to do?
