It's not naive to talk to find some common ground, and look to temper conflicts. as it is now when Obama and Putin met on the world stage
they both virtually ignored each other -how is that helpful?
It's time for some glastnost on US/Russian relations..sitting around and sanctioning isn't helpful -nor is NATO expansion'around Putin's throat.
Nor is Putin's new tsarism, and midest expansion helping us. Get real. we are both superpowers,and we need to co-exist.
If we did summits during the Cold War and kept communication open then -we should do it now.
