The point that the term "race baiters" is a conservative construct to shut down a legitimate conversation. The term wasn't used in the article yet the OP felt compelled to bring it up.

It is not always used to shut down legitimate conversation. Are you actually claiming that everytime someone brings up 'racist' 'racism' 'you're a racist' that those are legitimate claims? How many times have liberals called a conservative racist simply for disagreeing with Obama?
