I'm a big opponent of organized religion--I came up with 'Freedom FROM Religion' (a pre-requisite for freedom OF religion) long before I ever heard of the group.
That said, the school is wrong here.
Freedom from the domination of others by and propogation to others of fairy tales must be separated from trampling on freedom of conscience. As long as they keep that shit to themselves, it's their own business. A voluntary bible study group, and modest religious symbols even on public property qualifies as 'their own business'.
