Christianity is on the decline in America.

Yeah...those Catholics must have been the smartest people in the history of mankind to produce such a forgery.....
So good that it can't be explained by the most intelligent scientists even after 1000 years of advanced science and technological advances.....
thats quite a feat.....pinheads must be totally embarrassed by their failure to explain how it was done.....

Actually its very easy when you have money to buy the most advanced technology and put in your pockets most experts that are willing to vouch for you.

Maybe these scientists can explain how a statue of Madonna bled tears.LOL Only the naive fall for such parlor tricks.

No and choose instead of focusing on their bank accounts and their selfish desires.

They dont really throw their weight behind these causes. It is mostly lip service and as a result, Christian influence is shrinking rapidly.

Those are their bread a butter topics(gay marriage, abortions). They dont want them dealt with. Then they will have nothing to rally the troops.

They need the weak, they need the poor, they need the sinners.

Christianity would better serve its followers if they would dump the supernatural hocus pocus, and the virgin birth and instead focus on the words of Jesus.

That plus the use of guilt to control people, the idea that anythign but the 'traditional' family is bad, the didling of little boys, the teaching of fear.

oK. This is practiced(use of guilt) by most religions and people(regardless of race/religion/age). Traditional Christianity has nothing to do with didling boys(Your grasping at straws). The teaching of fear? The fear of GOD is good for the soul.

I'd rather fear GOD to keep me in line then fear being tortured or killed, a more primitive approach.

traditional Christianity teaches good virtues. To love one another, to help those in need, to pursue justice, righteousness, ect... These are all building blocks of a civil society. Without these things, we would still be barbaric in nature.

Technically, the Church accepts that Mary may not have been a virgin in the modern sense, in that the meaning at the time was simply a young girl. It just believes that Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit rather than Joseph. Also, I'm not surprised a liberal would get hung up on this "sex stuff." :D

The technology of 1000 years didn't serve very well no matter how much money you spent.....

or are you implying there is a modern day conspiracy to block attempts to debunk the shroud ? That ludicrous...

You may be right. I consider myself a semi-agnostic Christian.(I'd probably be persecuted by the Church in ancient times). If there was any supernatural type events, they were as a result of supernatural(make that advanced) extra terrestrial beings.

I truly, truly believe there are advanced civilizations beyond the stars. Whether they have made contact with us is debatable. The fact that they say life on earth was a fluke, does no compute. There are NO flukes in nature.

Christianity would better serve its followers if the leaders weren't such hypocrites and fake.

Furthermore, Christianity was always doomed to wind-up where it is, because the fate of the religion was placed in the hands of the most unreliable peoples on the Earth - the European barbarians. All those unclothed, human sacrificing, civilization-wrecking Gauls/Anglo-Saxons/Celts/etc. They did a shitty job practicing the religion in 1000, and they still do a shitty job practicing it in 2000.

LOL! I dont buy that. Are you a Christian Bravo? Are you "born again"? A true Christian would not be lured into these temptations. Maybe infidelity but not stealing, not pedophilia, not homosexuality, not purposely leading people astray.

Hey thanks.....I rest my case.....

Point proven....
any slip ups by ANY Christians, especially those within the hierarchy of the organization is exploited to the hilt....

the lefty media will portray those "sinners" as if they really aren't normal human men and women that make mistakes,... but as super beings that shouldn't be allowed to make
mistakes like mere normal men do.....

Its a great tactic, as I said, very successful

Yes, it would.

So....you're on the lookout for UFOs are you ?.....but nothing 'supernatural'........figures.

Do you have a list of which of the many versions of Christianity are the good ones and which are the evil ones ? Or do you just play it by ear, so to speak ?

Interesting observation.......

Prove the technology was 1000 years old. Prove it is not a forgery. They only let specific people monitor the shroud. Just like in court cases experts can be payed off to say just about anything you want.

What happened to that tomb box they say was Jesus's oh ya. Debunked.

I was watching this documentary on Catholic Exorcism and it was a complete joke. How anyone can be so gullible to believe that garbage is beyond me.

Anyway, here's the way I see it:

If you want the apocalypse to come sometime in the near future, hope for Christianity to completely fall apart.
If you don't want the apocalypse to come anytime in the near future, hope for a massive resurgence in Christian faith.

That's pretty much why I stopped worrying about the state of Christianity in modern times. World's gotta end, sometime...

UFO would not be outside of nature if they exist.

Nor would a 'God' for that matter.....one that could create the universe.....

You can't have it both ways, right....you either believe it or you don't....

I'm part German, so I probably do a shitty job. At least I'm not the head of some royal house who is blatantly ignoring Rome and placing the interests of my family's political power ahead of the Christian faith, so the West has made some progress over the last millenium...

Why don't you prove it is and how it was manufactured .....how the image was made....

The shroud was studied by 3 or 4 independent universities already and they say its only about 1000 years old according to carbon dating.....that doesn't change the
minds of believers.....actually, the Catholic Church makes no claims about it one way or another, they just happen to possess it...

You don't seem to know much about the subject, do you ?

Yeah, all religions have their weird beliefs but there is no shortage of followers.....up to 80% Christians in the US....thats a hell of a following....

Well it goes something like this. The basic doctrines of all Christian denominations are similar(meaning there is truth). I see that the larger and longer a denomination has been around? The more corrupt. Usually because there is more money involved in the larger ones.

I have an easy guide. if they preach love? Chances are they are preaching the truth. Unless it is love of money, immorality, ect... If they preach hate? Chances are they are not teaching truth. Unless that hate is against things like greed, unrighteousness and injustice. If they embrace these things that are fruits of evil, then they cant be Christian.

I don't think Germans are any different that any other nationality when it comes to the Christian religion.....
