first, there is nothing in the Ten Commandments that says anyone must be killed.......
second, the code of Ur-Nammu (and Hammurabi's Code) are enumerations of government penalties for certain actions.....they include things like "19. If a man has cut off another man’s foot, he is to pay ten shekels.".......
third, this is obviously not a parallel with commandments like "Honor your father and your mother so you might live long and prosper"....

This is probably what really happened until some other author exaggerated it and said the red sea was split. They exaggerated many stories because they provided hype and awe to the people.

Also Jehovah is known as the Lord of armies/hosts in the Bible. Basically this Jehovah guy would make treaties with neighboring tribes(as long as you pay homage). If you rebelled against his rule or Laws he would send his wrath upon you. His armies would attack.

Not to say there wasn't flooding, but there wasn't the exaggerated flooding as described in the childhood fairy tale called Noah's ark that is scientifically impossible.
