How it works
The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) uses incoming data from death certificates to produce provisional COVID-19 death counts. These include deaths occurring within the 50 states and the District of Columbia. COVID-19 deaths are identified using a new ICD–10 code. When COVID-19 is reported as a cause of death – or when it is listed as a “probable” or “presumed” cause — the death is coded as U07.1. This can include cases with or without laboratory confirmation.

Second, only a fucking moron thinks COVID attacks by political affiliation, but race, by wealth or anything else. Survival rates involve those factors due to medical access and natural ability to withstand a disease, but politics a factor there either. The only idiots who think like that are those ignorant of science.

What is most interesting to me is that so many idiots only think of this in political terms. Not globally. The death rates in the US are not different from the death rates in First World nations. Third World nations have either science or honesty problems such as "If we don't test, then we don't have the disease".
The US is one of the most populous nations in the world with 328M. All the EU is 446M, but people rarely look at it as one unit except for money. They look at each nation such as the UK, 67M, or Germany, 83M.

Yep, the US is 4 percent of the world population and has 1/3rd of the world's Covid cases and deaths. You cannot spin that into a Trump victory. It is his disaster, one that killed Americans.
