So workers in the south aren't people? Or do they not have jobs?
There is a bigger picture here. You can not see it if you don't want to.

Oh please, do elaborate. There is a bigger picture here. You can not see it if you don't want to.
That Chevy that doesn't give it's profits back to America and isn't made entirely in the U.S.?I have a chevy. The quality is awesome. I disagree that the jap crap is better. It is nothing more than opinion. Nationalism is bullshit.
Well if buying a Chevy (GM) gave money back to it's headquartered area, Detroit would get the money. It doesn't. And GM cars are made in other countries more and more, while 'foreign' cars are more and more made in America, so buying 'American' doesn't produce jobs here. What are you taking lessons from Dammed Yankee now?

They go into the towns of the workers who made the product. That's why Detroit has lost so much money even though the Big 3 are still headquartered here. They moved their factories, and the jobs and money with them, elsewhere.

So why don't the profits go to Detroit?
exactly
The profits go to the shareholders. Where do the shareholders of Toyota live?
That is a nice way to dodge the issue.
I do understand. I understand if you have to try and promote american cars thru patriotism then the cars must be inferior.
What I do not understand is why you would try to press your fellow americans to buy an inferior product? Why should I spend more and get less?
Well I think there are good answers to those questions. First, American autos do not lag behind in quality, in terms of quality Honda is rated #1 with Ford#2, Toyota #3 and Followed by Nissan and GM.
Then there is the fact that many foreign importers and manufacturers in the US who sell autos have governments who subsidize, in many different forms, these companies in ways that are not possible for American manufacturers at home or abroad. So selling by patriotism is fair game. Ever seen some one from Asia driving a Ford? I know a lot of Asians and I only know two who drive American made cars. Point being, they buy by patriotism over in Japan, Korea, China and Germany.
I see nothing wrong with patriotism being a part of my buying decision in a car. First, I drive a Ford. Two of them. In terms of quality I'll put them up against cars from Honda and Toyota in those segments. My Windstar has nearly 200,000 miles on it, is nearly 12 y.o. has never had a serious break down, just routine maintenance, brakes, shocks, oil changes, etc., and it keeps right on plugging a long. Same with my wife's Focus SES ZX4. It just completely out performs the Honda Civic's (except the Civic Si) and the Toyota Corolla and is rated superior in reliability then the Corolla.
So this is a case where I can have my cake and eat it too. I'm proud to buy American but I expect American manufacturers to make the best product for the price.

You are the idiot.,..
?
so that proves there are no SH's in america? so that proves toyota is not traded on NYSE?
No dipshit, it proves that most of the profits from building and selling Toyota goes to a bank in Japan, the second largest bank in the world.
