“Cancellation of Atlanta Festival Sparks New Fight Over Guns”

Nah, you're just another sad gun-humper who is nothing without his bang-bangs. Believe it or not, most of the rest of the world looks at you weirdos as what you are -- paranoid, insecure, fearful and even a bit nuts.

But I do agree that exploding pineapples is a lot of fun. So is exploding spray paint cans, plastic water bottles, and avocados. And hitting five out of five falling plates with a .357 revolver.

Like I said, shooting is a fun (and expensive) hobby, although our ranges only allow paper targets, silhouettes and clay pigeon (shotgun only). Why are we weird? What makes us insecure? It's one of the hobbies I enjoy. You should get one, you wouldn't be so miserable.

 That's funny.

Shooting targets is a fun hobby. But you and others like you take the gun worship to a whole new level. Mr. Owl has owned guns, some of them custom-crafted, for decades. Yet he never speaks of them the way you and the other gun-humpers do. He has never, ever bragged about "taking out" someone even if they broke into our house. He doesn't have to brag. To him, they are just tools. If they all got stolen tomorrow, assuming someone could figure out how to get into a 400-lb gun safe, he'd be upset but not outraged.

You all talk like someone's coming to get yours, and brag about civil wars and shooting libtards in the streets and other crazy ass shit. You care more about the fucking guns than you do about children being mowed down like the cats and groundhogs you like to shoot, in their classrooms. The difference between us? I would melt down every gun in this country if it could save one child's life from being murdered by one. You all would sacrifice 10,000 children if it meant keeping your precious metal phallic symbols.

ROFL! You are losing your mind.

“Tens of thousands of Music Midtown festivalgoers are no longer going to descend on Atlanta’s massive Piedmont Park next month”

“In fact, some people are convinced Atlanta will lose more music festivals and performances on public land as organizers and artists learn that state law makes it nearly impossible for them to stop people from carrying guns among the alcohol-fueled crowds.”

“Nation planned to host the festival at Piedmont Park — public land — where the festival had been held each year since 2011. And it almost certainly fell into the leasing category that would make a ban on guns illegal.”

“In terms of Music Midtown, it’s virtually a no-brainer that they can’t ban guns there,” said John Monroe, an attorney who represented a gun rights group in the case before the state Supreme Court.”

“Cancelling the event over the gun law would make sense from Live Nation's perspective, said Timothy Lytton, a law professor at Georgia State University.”

“A mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas in 2017 that claimed more than 50 lives cost MGM Resorts International — the owner of the concert venue — and its insurers $800 million in legal claims. With no restriction on guns, Live Nation was looking at potentially “astronomical” liability exposure at Music Midtown”

Alcohol, drugs, guns, in a crowd, in a Southern State, in today’s climate, what could go wrong. But, but, but my “freedom,” looks like the “freedom” lovers in Georgia will have to do without festivals, concerts, and more for awhile

Pussies

No she would still be miserable. She things shes a fucking owl. How fucked up do you have to be to think that?

There were close to two dozen armed officers present when the Uvalde shooter entered the school. That number expanded to nearly 400 armed officers.

I will say that it was federal law enforcement (mostly Border Patrol), the officers with the least authority to act, that were the ones that acted. What did make federal law enforcement different? Professionalism? Leadership?

Abbot went into hiding when he heard there was a mass shooting, and was impossible to provide authority.

this is a good example of moronic liberals exaggerating what they hear on the news in order to represent what they need to believe.............It was a SINGLE, meaning ONE SOLE INDIVIDUAL, border patrol agent who happened to have a kid in the school and was nearby..................

Off-duty Border Patrol officers use a janitor's master key to unlock the door Ramos has locked, and they enter the classroom while bypassing the UCISD officers.[13] As of June 18, 2022, a conflicting investigative report now states that the door was always unlocked.[99] Ramos, in a closet, kicks the door open and starts shooting. The officers return fire and kill him.[105]

Officers is PLURAL. There are conflicting accounts as to exactly how many federal officers went in, because they were informally organized, but everyone agrees it was more than one.

Here is a more complete description. Note the border patrol agent that acted alone never entered the building:
A United States Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) agent rushed to the scene after receiving a text message from his wife, who was a teacher there. Prior to this, the officer had been off-duty. The officer immediately set out with a shotgun his barber had lent him and arrived on the scene approximately an hour after the first responders arrived.[94] He then proceeded to help evacuate children. Contrary to online rumors and social media posts, he did not enter the school or kill the shooter.[95][96] Additional BORTAC agents arrived, but they did not have a battering ram or other breaching tools, so a U.S. Marshal on the scene provided agents with a ballistic shield. Ramos stayed in the classroom for around one hour, hiding behind a steel door that officers said they could not open until they obtained a master key from the janitor.[97][98] There is evidence, however, that the door was never locked.[99] After the door was opened, a BORTAC agent entered the room holding the shield, followed by two other BORTAC agents, a Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue agent (BORSTAR), and at least one sheriff's deputy. Ramos reportedly opened fire at the group from a closet in the room before officials returned fire and killed him.[100] As UCISD police officers exchanged fire with Ramos, BORTAC agents joined them in response to a request for assistance; one sustained an injury.[101] According to Governor Greg Abbott, the injured Border Patrol agent fatally shot Ramos.[102] Later reports state that a tactical team breached the room and killed the shooter.[95][96]

I already disproved his statement, but now I am going to comment on his statement.

He is rude, and asserting false information. He makes no attempt to prove his false information, because all the proof he needs is that it backs up his narrative. Facts are not things that just are, but things that are made up to support a narrative.

Is debate possible in such a case? Sadly no. Every time any attempt to debate policy is brought up, the alt right desperately starts posting lies.

Do you know how many times i've heard both liberals and conservatives rip on wikipedia as a source because it doesn't fit their narrative?

There are facts, it took a team of federal agents to take out the shooter in Uvalde. We can use Wikipedia, or any other reasonable source.

And, and it's gonna, it's gonna be the worst thing you can imagine."

I've noticed that the NRA doesn't allow guns at its conventions. I wonder why?
