“Cancellation of Atlanta Festival Sparks New Fight Over Guns”

"have not passed the test of time"? I know what those words mean but how do they pertain to your leader's alleged crimes?

they've applied to every other lie you idiots have tried in the last seven years......I see no reason they won't apply this time as well......your problem is, you haven't realized that the lib'rul media is as stupid as you are.....

“Tens of thousands of Music Midtown festivalgoers are no longer going to descend on Atlanta’s massive Piedmont Park next month”

“In fact, some people are convinced Atlanta will lose more music festivals and performances on public land as organizers and artists learn that state law makes it nearly impossible for them to stop people from carrying guns among the alcohol-fueled crowds.”

“Nation planned to host the festival at Piedmont Park — public land — where the festival had been held each year since 2011. And it almost certainly fell into the leasing category that would make a ban on guns illegal.”

“In terms of Music Midtown, it’s virtually a no-brainer that they can’t ban guns there,” said John Monroe, an attorney who represented a gun rights group in the case before the state Supreme Court.”

“Cancelling the event over the gun law would make sense from Live Nation's perspective, said Timothy Lytton, a law professor at Georgia State University.”

“A mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas in 2017 that claimed more than 50 lives cost MGM Resorts International — the owner of the concert venue — and its insurers $800 million in legal claims. With no restriction on guns, Live Nation was looking at potentially “astronomical” liability exposure at Music Midtown”

Alcohol, drugs, guns, in a crowd, in a Southern State, in today’s climate, what could go wrong. But, but, but my “freedom,” looks like the “freedom” lovers in Georgia will have to do without festivals, concerts, and more for awhile

They are wise to cancel it. Remember last year's rapper concert where ppl got trampled?

The youngest victim was nine-year-old Ezra Blount. The others who died ranged in age from 14 to 27.

Approximately 300 people were injured and treated at the festival site and 25 were taken to hospitals.

Dozens of lawsuits have been filed over injuries and deaths at the concert, where fans surged toward the stage during Scott’s set, squeezing people so tightly together that they could not breathe or move their arms.

Because they will come to one small house with one occupant with 30 heavily armed stormtroopers who hate honest and responsible gun owners. Just wait until they try to raid the farmhouses and rural folks...

For big tough guys with big tough guns, you lot are the most scared and paranoid ppl in this country.

Scared? Scared of what? Dying? Hell, we're both on our way anyway, right? Why not go believing in something? Many young died to form and retain this country.

but, banning guns would make no difference whatsoever.....because they were banned at the Las Vegas event....

Okay then. <backs slowly away> You are scared of your fellow citizens. You want to kill your fellow citizens for not believing what you do. You want another civil war, which once again you will surely lose.

In other words, you're not American at all.

What's to be scared of? Paranoid of who? I'm not changing a damn thing. I'll do as I've always done, shoot what I've always shot and own what I want.
Big tough guns? Nah. Would I like a Barrett M82A1? Hell yeah! But the closest long range is over an hour away. And you can only shoot paper, anyway.
Yes, I have a couple of guns, a few I shoot regularly. Shooting is actually a fun sport. Just think of the exhilaration from watching a pineapple explode (not
on a regulated range, of course)! Or grouping 5 rounds inside an inch, then doing it again. It's also a great stress relief too.

Remember the Teddy Bear chapter in the pineapple story?

Nah, you're just another sad gun-humper who is nothing without his bang-bangs. Believe it or not, most of the rest of the world looks at you weirdos as what you are -- paranoid, insecure, fearful and even a bit nuts.

But I do agree that exploding pineapples is a lot of fun. So is exploding spray paint cans, plastic water bottles, and avocados. And hitting five out of five falling plates with a .357 revolver.

You make some wild accusations. Shoot people? Civil war? No. And I don't know what I'd lose.
