The current wind shift in red state townhalls regarding reactions to the Cheeto Jeezus/Apartheid Punk agenda isn't conducive to what you and the articles are alluding to. Looks like Newsome is making a quixotic attempt to bring sanity to the Democratic Party by engaging in dialogue with those he deeply disagrees with, yet he’s getting blasted by the radical hard left lunatics that are still pervasive there.
Those red states will remain red as long as dims continue to nominate and elect THE WORST POSSIBLE radicals that run.
They’ll still have their fringy congressmen and women from Marxist enclaves but Kurmudgeon is right.
