California bans new diesel truck sales

Remember, as of right now, commercial sized EV trucks barely exist, and then almost entirely as prototypes. I doubt in the next 13 years truck manufacturers will have switched to batteries or fuel cells...

The air will be much cleaner and summer recreation will be much more enjoyable.

Does the ban include banning trucks purchased outside the state? There's no sales tax in Oregon (of course, CA would make you pay the sales tax to license it).

Chevrolet just unveiled an entire fleet of electric cars, including pickups and SUV's. We will be all electric sooner rather than later, I imagine.

Also, I saw an all-electric sport vehicle, I think it was a Mustang! Pretty cool!

The ban includes trucks purchased elsewhere that would be registered in California. It includes, depending on destination within the state, trucks registered elsewhere too.

Dude. Have you ever camped in a developed campground? No. You don't have a clue. The campgrounds have RV's. 5th wheels need to be towed by something. I don't consider being in an RV "camping" so I choose to tent camp in a tent site.

Has anyone seen any estimates of what it would cost to get the California grid capable of allowing success the California plan, which of course they are not doing, so the plan currently has 0% chance of working?
 
The California energy plan, and its complete fantasy nature, is one of those places you look at it and you look at all the people who are giving up on California and are getting out while they can and you go "Ya......I completely get it!".
