Yep, doubling down on stupid, California has now banned new diesel truck sales starting in 2035. They want all trucks in and entering California to be zero emissions by then. They set a date of 2030 for ending such truck use in ports and certain other facilities too.

This is in a state that can't even keep the lights on 24/7. If you live in Cali, get ready to not have shit to eat or get anything delivered.

Remember, as of right now, commercial sized EV trucks barely exist, and then almost entirely as prototypes. I doubt in the next 13 years truck manufacturers will have switched to batteries or fuel cells...

Decades ago - California was going to have 10% of new vehicles with zero emissions.
That is entirely why the GM EV1 was created.

As anyone with political, common sense knew they would.

These 'laws' are perfect for all politicians (on both sides).

The politicians get credit for doing it from people who like it.
But they can make ALL kinds of excuses for the people that hate it.
And - more importantly - they do not have to deal with the consequences of the law during their careers.

They mean next to NOTHING.


You would think history and common sense would teach the masses the obvious about things like this?
Apparently not.

Well, almost none of the masses/MSM, truly understands the Federal Reserve.
The single, most powerful, economic force on the planet (far more so than Congress).
And a horrible, HORRIBLE institution.
That is the major reason why America has been macroeconomically crumbling since 2002.
And continues to crumble.
Yet probably 95+% of people are clueless about this.
So, why should I be surprised?

Most voters are ASTONISHINGLY ignorant and gullible.
Yet, most of them actually, seem to believe they are knowledgeable.

THERE is the number 1 problem with America today.
Not the politicians.
Or even the pathetic MSM.
But the voters.

Oddly enough.
America's democracy is slowly, destroying her.
Not because we are democratic.
But because most of those that vote are arrogant and utterly useless (as voters).

That is the best answer and probably the reason so many are leaving that state every day. I used to think "the Big One" would be the answer. Now I believe that coast should remain as a collection pool for the fruits and nuts.

yes yes its WAY out in the future but you cant just snap your fingers and have it happen overnight.

ports will have to upgrade their electrical services, build out charging structures, test possible trucks etc.

Right. They will only sell EVs but they havent got the electrical capacity to meet their current neds but will.have it when everyone has an EV? it takes a special kind of stupid

Well, that's okay now because they've banned all natural gas appliances like water heaters, furnaces, and stoves and want the state to have zero in use by 2030. This means you will freeze with nothing to eat because you can't cook, heat, or drive your car to get food...
