But global warming isn't happening?

It's better than saying "God made me do it" or "I had a calling".

I will always remember Michele Bachmann's explanation of what it means to receive "God's calling". An interviewer asked her what she meant by having received a 'calling' from God and she replied (paraphrased), "I was really interested in politics and that's what a 'calling' is."

Hmmm, I've had a few "callings" in my life but I'm sure they weren't from God.

And why was God calling her to politics? Was it for her to learn firsthand the lessons of public humiliation when she loses?

Yeah, "callings". Give me a fucking break. :D

Yet you dimocrats were the only ones to elect a self described 'born again Christian'.....odd ain't it ?

Here: Now, I am sorry, but that is all I can do. JPP has a 'bag limit' on your ass, we only get to pwn a certain number of metric tons per week, and I am sure you'll say something else stupid before the day is over, so I don't want to put us over our limit.

So you lied.

Nowhere did I mention "Republicans", nor did I state what you claimed.

...you come back with the charge that Republicans have opposed these things all along, and now you want to claim Nixon wasn't someone today's Republican would support.

Poor Dix.

I guess your lies really are all you can do.

Once again we have those who choose not to believe in God, denigrating and attempting to chastize those who choose to believe in God; only because of a belief.

Why are those who make the choice to not believe, so scared of those that choose to believe.

Not necessarily scared but cautious because it's dealing with people for whom logic does not apply. Just take a look at all the different interpretations of the Bible, for example. First, the individuals in question discard logic and commom sense and then replace it with what only they consider the truth. For example, a "calling" or "the voice of God" may well be a symptom of schizophrenia or bi-polar illness. While the majority of those folks are not dangerous some are very dangerous as in murderers, etc.

It doesn't take much imagination to picture the horrors that could be placed upon the world should such an individual hold a position of power. In fact, we see that today with the Muslin extremists but it's just as likely to happen with Christians and others. After all, the Bible contains numerous stories where God told one group of people to slaughter another group and make sex slaves of the women.

Mohammed may have an irresistible offer of 72 virgins but one has to die first. Christianity offered sex slaves while one was still alive. I'm more of a "show me the money" type of guy or in this case "show me the women". Then there's that old saying, "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". If it's a choice between sex slaves in the here-and-now or virgins in the there-after I'm going for the former.

Just saying.

Still waiting for Freedumb to tell us if he fears Islam and Sharia...

Imagine no suicide bombers, no 9/11, no 7/7, no Crusades, no witch-hunts, no Gunpowder Plot, no Indian partition, no Israeli/Palestinian wars, no Serb/Croat/Muslim massacres, no persecution of Jews as 'Christ-killers', no Northern Ireland 'troubles', no 'honour killings', no shiny-suited bouffant-haired televangelists fleecing gullible people of their money ('God wants you to give till it hurts'). Imagine no Taliban to blow up ancient statues, no public beheadings of blasphemers, no flogging of female skin for the crime of showing an inch of it.

What should we not have done to have world without these?
