If you *really* want to see the EU fall apart, just go ahead, give the UK a sweetheart deal that gives them everything they want and nothing they don't want. Let them pick and choose the parts of the union they want. Then don't be surprised when 10 other countries drop out asking for the same terms.

The economic fallout from closing off access to UK markets is a minimal threat in comparison. The UK must be punished to prevent further defections. It will make for a stronger, more unified EU to be as harsh as possible to the UK.

You just don't get it, the EU in its present form, is totally fucked. I just cannot state it more simply.

Yes, that's why it needs to move towards a superstate. The natural course of human progress is towards more union, not against. You are sailing against the course of history.
