It's a job people don't do for money. I loved the military and wanted to stay active duty for over 20. Peace broke out and I had to find a civilian job while continuing in the Naval Reserve. It was never about the money.

I remember having to read that back in school for English Literature many moons ago. I also watched the BBC adaption with Alfred Lynch from the 60s as well, dreary is the word that comes to mind.

I've had female pilots on commercial flights, and they were never part of the reason that commercial flights suck.
