BLM Painted Outside asg Tower

Anyone....what's the BLM message to children about what's going on these days? Would love to get your input....

Looking forward to those who want to contribute rational, adult comments;) For those of you who do not, I understand;)

This is a whole new you!

You're not in the slightest bit interested in what BLM means to children, particularly children of color. You refuse to acknowledge that being black in America creates a very different experience than being white, nor will you acknowledge your own racism as you dismiss their perceptions. If you can manage to move past those barriers, *then* perhaps we can have a "rational, adult" conversation. We've been waiting 10 years, so the likelihood of that happening is slim to zero.

Minorities, all minorities, have the same opportunity to excel in America as non-minorities.

The examples of minority successes are legion.

Work hard, get an education, don’t allow drugs and alcohol to divert you, don’t riot and burn and loot.

It’s there for anyone of average intelligence.

You still have not answered the question!

Do you support states rights?

If you paused and looked instead of drive-by flaming, perhaps you'd notice I do support State's rights and have posted so at least 27 times.

Good. It's Georgia's problem. State's Rights, "laboratories of Democracy" and all that.

"a state may, if its citizens choose, serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country."
-- Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Louis Brandeis, 1932

That's up to them. I support State's Rights over the Feds. Too many people, both Republicans and Democrats, seek to give more power to the Feds. I'm against doing so. The Feds are too powerful as it is.

Thanks for the clarification. I support State's Rights. If my state mandates it, I'll support it as a common sense response to a pandemic. If the Feds mandate it, I'll comply, but fight the jurisdiction and encroaching Federal power to do so.

As it is, I wear a bandanna when going to the store. I minimize my trips outside the home to once a week. There's a chance I've had it, but haven't been tested. I practice social distancing. If a person isn't wearing a mask, then I don't care if I spread the disease to them because they don't care. If they do care, I'll do the same. If everyone at Trump's rally catches the disease and kills off their parents or grandparents, I consider it "Evolution in action".

Then if I were to say that states should determine whether or not to recognize Homosexual marriage, you would agree?

Can't since it's a 14th Amendment issue. It's like you asking if states should determine whether or not to recognize Free Speech.

Besides, marriage is a religious issue. Why the fuck is government involved except for taxes?

My position exactly, can't understand why the Government is involved period! What part of the 14th says homosexual marriage is ok!

Instead of painting streets, why not work on the war zone problem?

All lives matter...this little boy's life should matter...his family isn't impressed by the photo ops/street decorations....

Indeed TOP.

This symbolism does not help one person to rise from poverty or saves one black life or helps blacks get jobs. Pure symbolism.

Suppose a city decides to paint WLM (white lives matter).

Would that be a First Amendment right and would the left support this symbolism?
