It is an indisputable fact that black males are around 7% of the population but commit around 40% of all homicides.

I've got GrayJunk on ignore so wouldn't know. Just thought I'd post a whimsical thought about the absurdity of a lily-white Irishman living in Thailand, who thinks he can speak of the experience of black American citizens. Somehow, it lacks authority. :laugh:

I came from a Irish Catholic family living in extreme poverty in London slums in late 50s. We were considered white niggers and treated accordingly. However nobody divorced and they took care of their children, which black families also did until the end of the 60s.

The OP is the reason that we are seeing such tremendous backlash after these police shootings. A complete failure to acknowledge systemic racism. But people are paying attention. The Bucks players didn't just boycott the game. They made specific demands that the Wisconsin Legislature act to address that systemic racism. They talked to government officials in Wisconsin. Their message is clear. Enough is enough. Racists, your 15 minutes has lasted WAY too long, but it is over. You think you are enthusiastic for your guy? You ain't seen nothing yet. We, THE PEOPLE are going to take you down, remove your racist cult leader from office, and we are coming for every sycophant who has enabled him. What did you think was going to happen? MLK, shot and killed. Megder Evers, assassinated. Black people lynched, beaten, treated as less than human, and you thought because some Equal Rights legislature was passed it was all okay now? Police could go back to killing black people and no one would care?

The perfect storm has happened. And it's about to wash all of you out to sea. Good riddance. Your ignorance and your arrogance and your hatred have motivated the country against you. Not just black people, or poor people. This is spreading to the suburbs, to upper middle class white people. My wife is such a great representative of why you are losing. She has gone from criticizing Kapernick to understanding he was a man ahead of his time. She is starting to get. So are a LOT of other people. And that's the start that was needed. It won't fully change overnight, but the ball is rolling, and you are now powerless to stop it. Deal with it. You are done.
