I just read that in the news, and they described it more as him trying to prevent a stranger's car from getting hijacked.

Well let's hope not... Years ago some of our students stole a teacher's car to go to the store... They wanted chips and pop... And didn't want to walk To the store... Unfortunately they had an accident on the way back so they got caught..... Told the police they just borrowed it....they didn't really steal it...... Let's just say they learned their lesson... It's not wrong to hold kids accountable when they break the law... Particularly if they injure another human being...
