Biden’s 9/11 Afghanistan victory speech tomorrow

So, you don't want to answer the question?

You should read what ranking officials in the military said about that. It was a dog & pony, but doesn't change the fact that there isn't much they can do w/ what's there.

BE, a picture is worth a thousand words.

You were wrong about the weapons. They can sell what they can not use, for billions to finance more terrorist attacks on America and Europe.

If chickens don’t come home to roost over this we’ll be very lucky.

We are out of Afghanistan after 20 years and people are out. And yet people continue to complain? I don't get it.
Republicans tend to forget the sins of past Republican administrations when they grasp for anything that will create division in the nation.

It's their only policy platform.

The families of the 13 dead military aren’t divided.

They rightfully blame Bloody Biden.

Since you’re speaking with great authority on the subject what are ‘the facts’?

Sure - I'm glad to inform you about this.

Republicans keep saying that we left "$85 billion" in "high tech" weapons over there. It's a lie. We spent $85 billion on the whole operation over 18 years. about $12 billion was equipment.

They disabled or destroyed most of it - most of what was left was described as "primitive," and military brass were not worried about it. There were a lot of vehicles. Most that they left was "demilitarized" - aircraft and vehicles that can't be flown or driven. And it's all low-tech - not the high-tech that you characterized (apparently without knowing what they left).

What I haven't heard anyone on the right argue is how many lives they would have sacrificed to make sure we got that equipment out of Afghanistan. Want to give that a go?

Wrong...” According to the US Department of Defense, the total military expenditure in Afghanistan (from October 2001 until December 2020) was $825bn, with about another $130bn spent on reconstruction projects.

None of your post is accurate,

I was talking about the cost of arming & training the Afghani's. The total cost of that was actually $82.9 billion. Republicans took that & dishonestly said that was all equipment, when only a fraction of that was. And they still parrot that (they actually say $85 billion, compounding the lie).

No, I didn't serve. Do I need to have in order to comment on this topic and conservative dishonesty in general?

No, you posted this:

“We spent $85 billion on the *whole operation* over 18 years. about $12 billion was equipment.”

This is a lie.

So is this:

“They disabled or destroyed most of it - most of what was left was described as "primitive," and military brass were not worried about it. There were a lot of vehicles. Most that they left was "demilitarized" - aircraft and vehicles that can't be flown or driven. So you did not serve, just spit on those who did.

I was talking about the operation to arm & train Afghani's. Doesn't really matter - the point was that Republicans are taking that figure and saying it was all for equipment, when less than a quarter of that figure really was. That's the lie.

And it was our own military that called it "primitive" - not me.

I'm not spitting on them. I want them out of harm's way. That seems like support, actually.

Yes, you lied and it matters.

Returning soldiers from Vietnam were spit on by the far left.

All of the weapons and equipment...heliocopters can be sold for billions to finance further terrorism.

Why did you say that I spit on soldiers?

Any why doesn't it matter to you that Republicans continually lie and say that $85 billion in equipment was left?
