Indian Ocean railroads hopefully not withstanding, we do have atrocious public transportation in this country.
Both coasts would love to have what Europe and Asia have for public transportation,
but Middle America,
isolated from world culture and comfortable being that way,
likes pickup trucks, not bullet trains.
People get to like what they like, but this rube-ass mentality admittedly annoys me.
It's one more example of how provincial Middle America and the cosmopolitan coasts
don't have enough common interests to be the same nation.

There isn't enough speed to cover up his functional brain issues and when he goes off script it becomes evident.

It was not a joke. He messed up and said Pacific instead of Atlantic because he was off script and he literally cannot tell the difference anymore. He needs to stay on 'prompter or he f*cks up every single time.
The only "joke" there was "I'll get in trouble", the same lame excuse he uses every time he goes off script. And nobody really laughs, just that polite little chuckle you get when you say, "Hear them geese?" for the eleventy-billionth time at the family gathering after you fart.
