Biden Plans Cuba Reset

This has got to be one of the stupidest posts ever! The Cuban government has killed political prisoners and others that oppose the government, as do many violent and vicious dictatorships. The US was at war with Germany and Japan--a war that those countries started with the US. What was the US supposed to do, talk to them nicely and ask them to not be at war? Since then, let's see:

Korea: A vicious thug led Communist regime in North Korea invaded South Korea. The UN voted to intervene and the US led a coalition of forces to stomp them into the ground. The Chinese then got involved--unilaterally--and expanded the war. How is that the US's fault?

Vietnam: The US only got involved because LBJ was a lying, sack-of-shit President that used the phony Gulf of Tonkin incident to expand it. Up to that point US involvement was very limited. Nixon then got the US out of that debacle. But it did save Thailand, Malaysia, and Indochina from ending up with brutal Communist dictatorships that would have wrecked those countries.

The Dominican Civil war: Eisenhower was right to stomp the Communists in this one. The Dominican Republic is better for it too, unlike Cuba...

The Gulf War(s): Saddam brought that on himself by invading Kuwait

Afghanistan: Harboring Al Qaeda was a big mistake. The US had every right to retaliate against international terrorism.

So, there's no equivalence between Cuba killing political opposition and what the US has done post WW 2.

The USA has killed about as much as Japan in WW2.

But, I guess that's okay, because Americans think they have good intentions.

Now that's extremely stupid.

Sure, like the USA helping colonial French desires in Vietnam which put Ho Ch Mihn into the Comminist sphere for help.

Saddam invaded Kuwait, well how many nations did the USA invade in the past 100 years?

Besides , Saddam & AL Qaeda were both supported by the USA initially.

Monroe Doctrine in play here with China and Iran etc meddling in our hemisphere.

I agree to no meddling, but we are past that.. Maduro has to go because it's people are physically suffering

So ppl are suffering all over the world....

A big part of the reason they are suffering is a direct result of the economic warfare the regime is engaged in to try & topple the country.....

All great points........

"We judge others on their actions, we judge ourselves on our good intentions"............

try to keep ideas separate
I have no idea what we were doing - im sure we were meddling like we alwas do -but that doesn give Russia and China card blanche to meddle in our meddling.. lol

and keeping Maduro propped up is a gross human rights violation of the worst order

If someday China does the railroad from Peru to the coast of Brazil should we periodically sabotage or bomb it??

Whatever happened to just minding our own business & letting the ppl of other countries make their own decisions & choices??
there is also military assistance baked in from those powers. and of course our sanctions on Chavez/Maduro

One of our closest neighbors with a very strong natural resources and developed products to trade. Amazing tourist location. A relationship with America can only help the Cuban people and might even spark the onset of Democratic reform...

Thats why.

Cuban cigars, and I really want to visit Havana. That island is gorgeous, and so are the people. And they deserve to have an open economy.

I went three years ago, before Trump* closed it again. What an amazing place. Only 90 miles away and more different from us than Spain.

155 years is a long time for Negros to cling to a grudge over slavery

Only a racist, sister-fucking honky like you would compare "not being able to rape and pillage an island" to "slavery."

The funniest part is that the white people you're defending wouldn't come within spitting distance of a plebe like you.

'

That was the most pathetic attempt at a defense of U.S. 20th century foreign policy I've ever seen.

How can being friendly with a country 60 miles away be a bad thing? They are people and they do not hate us. If we want to harm their system insulating them is not the way. That makes them more unified. Opening up will show them what we think is a better way and hopefully slowly change their system. Afraid of commies? Show them the light. Taking enjoyment at making them suffer is no way to achieve peace or help them change.

What is China planning to do??

What kinda threat could they mount against COlumbia, moreless the USA??

You see them driving up here through Nicaragua up through Mexico any time soon??

Hopefully those old pick-up trucks get good gas mileage..

His people are physically suffering because of America.
