EXACTLY RIGHT!!!
Health care in the United States was the best in the world when government wasn't interfering with it like it does today. In many respects, it still is. Life saving procedures and products, including the development of far less invasive surgical techniques, artificial replacements of damaged body parts (even the heart!) were developed in the United States for a reason!
I could add to the list these ingrates ignore:
* numerous additional treatments for cancers and even cures for some of them.
* drugs and vaccines to handle most any ailment, including devastating diseases like polio, measles, mumps, scarlet fever, plague (including black plague), tetanus, typhus, leprosy, pneumonia, ... you know...the real killers and disfiguring diseases that hit huge percentages of the population (unlike covid, which doesn't even kill!).
* the best surgeons in the world.
* the invention and improvement of many imaging techniques including ultrasound, x rays, MRI, CAT, etc.; and also vastly improved methods of handling and storing those images (PACs systems).
