What’s humorously ironic about identity politics is that people who care the most about it are White liberals lol.
Every tribe has their activists but their numbers are tiny with respect to the electorate more generally. The only thing that keeps it going is the liberal media—an institution run almost exclusively by white, cis-gendered, liberal males.
Consequently, while the media gets enamored with a Kamala Harris because of her Intersectionality, huge swaths of the electorate [including Hispanics, Muslims and etc] are nonplussed about it. They’re like ‘fine, whatever, where is she on issue A?’.
The whole charade is set up to fail when confronted with an issues-oriented candidate. Particularly, one that stresses the economy and jobs over everything else.
Sounds like someone we know.
