Biden administration in Venezuela negotiations

Yet another totalitarian regime they want to buy oil from. They hope to make a deal with Venezuela and Iran so they can give our money to folks that hate us rather than pull cleaner oil from the US. (By any measure the US is cleaner than those two when drilling and transporting oil, folks who love the planet should reject the idea that we should give our money to Iran and Venezuela... but they won't because it is political science, not actual science, that matters).
Every oil producer is a totalitarian regime. Except for Canada, but all they have is sludge that isn't worth much of anything.

Well, the quickest path would have been to not end energy independence in the first place. .
We were never energy independent. Everything is sold on the open market for the highest price.
Nobody is pumping now because Wall St. wants it that way.

Well, the quickest path would have been to not end energy independence in the first place. Since we can't go back in time and stop Brandon from stupid the US has no good "instant" choices. However, I'd rather have a delay in lower prices and get us back into energy independence. It may hurt for a bit, but we'd be far more secure when we reached independence. No more begging OPEC (which actually includes Venezuela who is also a Russian ally) and buying from Russia while they invade neighboring nations.

This idea that we should keep buying Russian oil until we can give our money to the largest state funder of terrorism and the worst communist nation in the Americas is just beyond disgusting. Thankfully the guys who buy oil are already not buying the Russian oil in spite of Brandon's insistence we need to keep that up.

Brandon needs to stop funding illegal wars just so we can buy oil a bit cheaper and needs to get us back on the path to energy independence.

When were we energy independent?

The visit is yet another example of a geopolitical shift underway across the globe in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine as the U.S. and European countries seek energy sources other than Russia, one of the world's largest oil exporters.

News of the trip was first reported by The New York Times. That report prompted Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence and Foreign Relations Committees and a vocal critic of the Maduro regime, to criticize the trip.

"Joe Biden using #Russia as an excuse to do the deal they always wanted to do anyway with the #MaduroRegime," Rubio tweeted Sunday morning. "Rather than produce more American oil he wants to replace the oil we buy from one murderous dictator with oil from another murderous dictator."

Rubio's active criticism of the Maduro regime and of the Cuban government through the years has resulted in occasional death threats against the senator, who's been known to travel with a Capitol Police security detail.

The U.S. broke off diplomatic relations with Caracas in 2019 after accusing Maduro's government of electoral fraud. The Trump administration more actively sought to topple Maduro and officially recognized opposition leader Juan Guaidó as the country's lawful leader. Maduro has grown closer to Russian President Vladimir Putin's government ever since.

But with lawmakers in the U.S. and Ukrainian officials clamoring for the western world to cut off Russian oil exports as a way of squeezing Putin's government for his invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. is actively seeking alternative energy sources. In recent weeks, American officials visited Gulf states to see about arranging for oil exports to European countries to make up for lost supply from Russia if Putin opts to cut off the continent from his country's oil.

Oh! So now the dumbfuck will buy oil from the Commies in Venezuela instead of allowing domestic production. What an absolute fucktard.

Real men realize when something is not working and come up with a real solution.

Ofc Biden created the problem in the 1st place on day 1 of his presidency.

It will get much worse before it gets any better, people.

On net, Biden is better for all Americans including the poor.

Well the moron you guys put into office got us into this mess. We didn't need to be here. We need to go for the longer term fix rather than enriching a terrorist nation or a nation in our backyard that hates up. Drill baby Drill and build pipelines build. If we go all out the XL Pipeline can be ready in 8 months. We need to see if Mexico can increase production also. Unfortunately we are going to have to pay more at the pump for awhile.

All of this was entirely avoidable and Biden set this snowball in motion on the very 1st day in office.

Where do we go from here, though? Looks to me like this retard is wanting to just import, import, import, which is fucking retarded!
