Do you want age inappropriate material in middle schools?
Of course you do because you are a pervert.

Sounds like APL has personal experience with nurse Rachted. My guess he is another one she has been failing to give his psych meds to regularly.
I don't see why the Bible, the Qur'an, the Bhagavad-Gita, the Dao de Jing, the Dhammapada can't be kept in a high school or public college library. They are historically important works of literature and prose. I would just make sure they are all equally available.
vicious cycle
a sequence of reciprocal cause and effect in which two or more elements intensify and aggravate each other, leading inexorably to a worsening of the situation.
"debtors were caught in a vicious circle: they could not be freed until they had paid their debt, and were not able to pay their debt as long as they were in prison"
"Viscous" applies to liquids.
It's tit for tat. Fair's fair.
Hmmmm... this is interesting. I teach at a public high school. I've been doing that for almost 20 years. There are no religious classes there, and I've never seen a bible even tucked under a student's arm. I've never specifically looked for a bible in the media center, but I'll look Monday and I'll bet a thousand bucks I won't find one. This doesn't bother me in the least. Pretty sure we're not graduating the next pope, or the next Martin Luther, but these kids can do some mean calculus.
Why wouldn't a Bible be in the library? Same for the Quran, Torah, Tibetan Book of the Dead, etc? Maybe only college libraries because of all the sex and violence in the Bible?
That's ok...the kids have their own copy if they need one....(I never had a need for a Bible in any of my classes, as a student or a teacher...Did you?)
It’s banned in some places due to MAGA censorship rules.
I support "age-appropriate" but am against bans.
Who decides?
Those paying for it.
How about objective standards that are set to prevent banning of viewpoints or ideology, but bans violence and porn.

Oh cry more! Those books won't bite you. I promise.
Who decides that if not the citizens? Isn't that the purpose of a constitution? To prevent limitations on Free Speech, Freedom of Religion, etc? However, we're not talking about the rights of citizens, but the teaching of minors. Do you support lowering the age of voting to 16? I don't. If it was up to me, I'd raise the age of everything to 25 but would settle for 21.
I’ve felt this way for years. Let the kids get out and work a bit and pay a few taxes before turning them loose at the ballot box.

The maturity of human beings is pretty well documented. Sure, individuals vary a bit, but it still follows a curve....all ending in death.Age is an arbitrary thing. Who gets to decide? There are many dumb and smart people of all ages.
We might as well have an IQ test requirement like Dutch Uncle has always advocated.

Children are citizens, albeit limited citizens.
I think 18 should be the age for every age limited thing. Kids mature faster, unless adults hold them back.
The current system in Florida ends up with books being banned with just one parent complaint. A Florida paper looked into it and there is a very small of active parents complaining, the one who is responsible for the majority of banned books attends fascist rallies.
