Right, but the only way to combat that is to increase voter turnout to such high levels, the GOP cannot steal the election without making it painfully obvious.
The only way to increase voter turnout is to get non-voters excited and enthusiastic to vote.
How do you do that when what you're offering is watered-down moderation? (<--Not a hypothetical question)

Right, and Bernie is bringing new voters to the polls. He's bringing new voices to his campaign. He's reaching non-voters and getting them to come out to vote for him.
Just imagine how many he could turn out if the Democratic Party actually backed him and applied its apparatus to voter turnout initiatives?
As far as I can tell, the rest of them (except for Warren) think they can beat Trump by just re-running the same playbook we ran in 2016 and not expanding the voter base and turnout.
Only Warren and Sanders are the two candidates with either a plan or a track record of turning out new and non-voters. No one else running can claim that.
We don't need moderates to win elections. We just need turnout.

Well, the old party lost 900 seats during Obama's term, and the newcomers (like AOC) are the ones who won many of those seats back.
The old party let Mitch McConnell tap dance all over them by nebbishly letting him get away with not letting Merrick Garland get a hearing.
The old party didn't learn a single lesson from 2016, and is now trying to rig the primary again.
The old party was great for olden times, but it's 2020 now, and the old way of doing things doesn't work.

Not that it matters, but it's true. She was a Republican. She voted for Reagan.
But I don't hold that against her, and I don't think she's the biggest fan of the Democratic Party either; that much was evident last night when she took down the establishment folks with precision, effortlessly.
Even though she was a Republican who voted for Reagan? I mean, I don't give a shit that she was, and I think the "party loyalty" argument is a load of crap since the Democratic Party was on a pretty mighty losing streak until 2017-18 came along, and all these new, young, progressive Dems like AOC, Omar, Pressley, Khanna, Tlaib and others started winning races.
Do I need to post the latest poll showing Sanders beating each Democrat in head-to-head matchups? Cause I will.

I'm not lying about anything. What I'm saying is that running the same 2016/2014/2010 playbook isn't going to work.
Moderates don't excite people to vote.
Moderates don't elicit enthusiasm.
Think about the word "moderation", and what comes to mind? Not excitement. Not enthusiasm.
So if we know that moderation is not synonymous with those two things, how can it possibly increase voter turnout?
