And that was before Bernie did "You didn't build that" to his face when Bloomy tried to say he earned his billions of dollars by working hard. There were even audible laughs from the crowd when he said that.

This is a stupid argument to make because we are already paying for that cost of medical bills through private insurance. And that is leaving 27 million people without coverage, and another 40 million underinsured. It also results in at least 30,000 people dying every year because they can't afford to see a doctor, and another 500,000 going bankrupt because of medical debt.

That's the system you think is so wonderful? You must have very low standards.

And because of private insurance, we pay 2x the cost per capita that every other advanced nation pays.

Not sure what you mean here...it's really easy to get rid of private insurance. Instead of everyone sending their premiums to various insurance companies, who pool them together, take a cut for themselves, and then negotiate with your doctor to pay as little as possible, leaving you on the hook for the balance (premiums, copays, deductibles, etc), we instead have a flat payroll tax that goes into one single pool, from which doctors are reimbursed at rates negotiated by the single payer, who now has all the leverage to extract lower fees and costs.

I mean, all it takes is understand the role an insurance company plays in health care.

I think most people don't know or can't articulate what that role actually is and how it benefits your health care.

The chargemaster is the result of that collusion, as I've been saying this whole time.

The doctor and insurance company aren't colluding to get the lowest possible cost to the patient, they're colluding to increase the profits for both.

And don't get me started on drug companies...they should be fucking nationalized at this point.
