Ben Shapiro speaking at Cal

OK, I'm ignorant on this guy. Never heard of him. I don't listen to conservatives so that splains that. I respect BAC so if he says this guy is a racist I put great stock in that assessment.
So now I have read ONE interview with him in Slate.

I must say he seemed reasonable here. ^^^

He hates dump, he hates the alt right. He has some vision of where he thinks the lines are drawn. I don't know because all that conservative crap is inside baseball to me.

So, BAC, I'm wondering what is the rest of the story?

Whatever squabbles he and the alt-right are having means nothing to me. The alt-right is decidedly anti-Semitic .. thus his problems with them .. but they are all racist.

Advocating transfer of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza isn't racism or bigotry---that would depend on the motivation for advocating it.

It's wrong-headed.

But it's just as wrong-headed [and intellectually lazy] to call that racism or bigotry. The same thing goes on with similar issues in this country. For example, there are several good and non-racist reasons to advocate *against* open immigration policy.

Starting with sanity lol. Sanity never fails to be a good basis for public policy. Nations have borders for a reason and any nation that effectively opens its borders to mass immigration will cease to be a nation.

But advocating too ambitiously for sane immigration policy can get you branded a 'racist' by the left.

The same thing is going on in Europe where the Western Europe countries have allowed mass immigration and Eastern European countries are balking at it and being labeled 'racist' by the leftist elites.

When all they want is for their women to be allowed to walk safely in the streets.

I honestly don't know. Shapiro later recanted that comment but what's funny here is the Reich Wing running to his defense y splitting hairs between a bigot and a racist. Now that's ride on the little yellow bus funny.
