Its not the 1990's anymore. But I do expect that someone who was involved in making it is so offended that the project was spiked that they will leak it....that we will eventually get to judge for ourselves.
the movie itself was irredeemably bad and not JUST because of this... but going asexual on the girl part of Batgirl certainly didnt help
I doubt it, if it was just a matter of being bad to the point that it made no sense to put it in the theaters they would have put in on streaming and been proud of it if it was not offensive to WOKE. Losing money sell WOKE ideology is now a badge of honor, it is proof that one is properly committed to the cause.

Harley Quinn is not asexual, but she is quirky, fun, and surreally real. In the middle of a fight scene in Birds of Prey, Harley Quinn offers Black Canary a hair tie... It just seems real. Women, and many men relate to the realness of it all. That movie did great.
Random side note: Black Canary is played by Jurnee Smollett-Bell, the sister of Jussie Smollett. It is full of "gender-positive" plot elements. And it did great. Batgirl is just bad... It has nothing to do with politics.

Its Bull Shit....almost all of the money to make the movie had already been spent, and they could have released it without spending a dime on marketing. They decided to not, which demands a better explanation that what we have gotten. They could have even finished it and sold it if they did not want their name attached, and gotten something rather than nothing as they have.
