Bannon Removed from NSC

Bannon was put on the NSC’s “Principles Committee” as check on former National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn to make sure Flynn carried through with a directive to depoliticize the NSC, a senior administration official told Fox News.
Bannon only attended one meeting of the Principles Committee and Flynn was fired from his role in early February after misleading Vice President Mike Pence about conversations he had with a Russian official.
With H.R. McMaster now established as National Security Adviser, Trump saw no need for Bannon to stay on the committee as a check on Flynn, the official said.
Bannon is still permitted to go to NSC meetings.

lol...I think your FOX story sounds more like making excuses than an actual reason since it was documented at the time Trump didn't even know why. BY FOX.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...er-that-gave-bannon-seat-at-nsc-meetings.html

President Trump was reportedly not fully briefed on the executive order he signed that allowed his chief strategist Steve Bannon a seat at the meetings of the country’s top national security efforts.

The New York Times reported Sunday that Bannon has been telling allies that he and the White House policy director, Stephen Miller, have a window to push through their vision of Trump’s economic policies.

Trump was frustrated over the executive order and reportedly demanded to be looped in on the executive orders earlier in the drafting process. According to the Times, Trump demanded that his chief of staff Reince Priebus to come up with a fundamental approach to executive orders.

So which is it?

Amid signs that Donald Trump began his presidency with the same chaotic operation that marked his campaign, a report has claimed he was not even aware he was elevating Steve Bannon to a senior security post when he signed one of several executive orders.

Since Mr Trump’s inauguration on January 20, reports have emerged of a White House West Wing marked by confusion and unpreparedness - alongside intense turf battles being fought by his top officials.

Bannon and Mathis conflict on Russia. Bannon is much more in the idea of finding ways to live with Russia
and Mathis is old school standard issue hardliner..

So it's another win for the Russiaphobes along with Flynn's firing

Do you mean the situation at State? Yes.

The attached chart shows openings at State vs. filled positions.

As far as the situation among rank and file employees, it's common knowledge.

It's called cutting the fat.

A. Why are you so concerned about 'proof' NOW?

B. The right doesn't respond to proof or facts, so why present them with it?

C. Much of that 'proof' should be intuitive to people paying attention.

Are you aware, that for an adult; you sure do cry a lot!!

:evilnod:

Bannon still has national security clearance, it wasn't stripped. He was never intended to be a permanent fixture of the council. He was there to fix some things up and now that he has done that (apparently) he is going back to advising trump in that capacity.

This liberal revelation, is similar too:

TRUMP SNEEZED AND THEN INFECTED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE.

5%, or not filling open positions, is "cutting the fat". (although it could be argued that throwing Bannon off the NSC is also "cutting the fat").

A 33% budget reduction at State harming primarily embassies, consulates, outreach programs, and especially families of state department employees isn't.

and purging the Hillary loyalists

You should have read what I wrote. All that's left are career service employees from Obama's two terms.

and yet, your NBC report said the same thing.....perhaps you shouldn't have decided to make up your own narrative...l.

But apparently they aren't Obama loyalists.

It's basically swamp-draining: Bannon did his job and left the position. Besides, it's bad optics to have someone so close to Trump over the NSC with the ensuing Rice debacle unfolding.

career service aren't the problem...
I think they did this for budget reasons; but given how we meddled with USAID I can't get too upset..
If Tillerson can live with it -so be it- at least for the time being
