the founders were concerned about their new government abusing and usurping power they weren't given. They included elections because the people were ultimately in charge and kept possession of all of their firearms in case the government didn't want to follow the rules.

Read it, it is nearly as absurd as Thomas’s logic, had to love the way Scalia just dismissed the prefatory clause, since no prior Court could define what it meant, he’d just skip over it

And if you read it, you’d also know that Scalia himself directly stated that the Second Amendment was not absolute, meaning that it could be regulated

Not true, they established a Government in direct contrast to the Monarchies they witnessed, they didn’t do such cause they were afraid of the Government they created, rather so that the new country wouldn’t be just another Monarchy. Firearms had nothing to do with it

you must have failed history class as well. there are several pieces of historical documentation that clearly show that the founders distrusted government and KNEW that standing armies were, or could be, banes to liberty.
