How much do you want to bet that DeSantis simply will not enforce the law against protesters in front of doctors' homes, or even Disney employees' homes.

People who protest in front of private residences in Florida can face jail time and fines under a bill signed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Anyone who protests in front of a private residence in Florida can face jail time and fines under a bill Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Monday.

The legislation makes it a second-degree misdemeanor to protest in a manner that is aimed at intentionally harassing or disturbing someone in their home. Violators face 60 days in jail and fines of up to $500.

Wow he doesn't even pretend. He truly is a fascist. People being thrown in jail for exercising their First Amendment rights?

I predict many people will be protesting in front of his house to spite him. They won't be enough rooms in jail.

Unconstitutional right out of the gate.

The new thing in the last few years is to protest against victims of mass shootings. The alt right has especially targeted parents of the Sandy Hook shooting dead.

Yet oddly enough you don't see LW governors rushing to sign legislation banning that evil practice, do you? There's a reason why the Reichwing is righteously seen as fascist. This move by FL is a good example. Maybe he'll invite those two gun tards from STL who waved their bang-bangs at peaceful protesters *walking in the street* a few years back, to come down for a photo-op.

I thought Republicans were champions of absolute rights and free speech?

Your First Amendment rights don't extend to you protesting anywhere you want. For example, you cannot block a public highway. A restriction on not being able to protest in front of someone's house is reasonable. It doesn't preclude you from protesting, just as to location.
Do you think it is reasonable that for a large protest you have to get a permit?

So, do your second Amendment rights work the same way?

Lol you mean like the Capitol Building where people were arrested who didn't actually enter the building? If you don't see the difference between harassing someone at their home and protesting at a government building then I don't know what to tell ya.

Link to anyone being arrested who did not violate the law?

De Santis is an authoritarian who cares not about the Constitution. And Republicans showing true colors love it.
